Finally got mine yesterday, and while I really like it, I can’t quite come to terms with how small it feels after my 6S+. Hopefully it’s just going to take a few days to get used to it.


I do however love FaceID and the lack of home button - the swiping feels so much better than pressing a mechanical button

I’m not sure it was worth all of the anguish haha!

Give it a few days then pickup your 6+ and you will notice the difference and how much better the size is. I thought exactly the same as you but every time I pick up my wife’s 7+ it seems so wide and resolution it’s so much lower.

After all the time it took you to get it (take it Manchester then) I’d force myself to love it!!!

Edinburgh seems to have them in stock. I didn’t check at 6am. Just woke up just now (half 7) and randomly checked. Normally there’s nothing at this time.

They are still being added every few seconds and have been pretty much consistently since 6am.

To me this says it is a delivery rather than unwanted collection units but Apple is trickling them out to prevent people using bots to reserve them all (then selling res slots on eBay)

Also, I have noticed that you can reserve and collect via the standard app for in-store collection today. Some London stores keep getting them and Scotland Princess St has all colours and configs for standard purchase.

OK. You guys are just confirming everything I've been told about Apple fanboys. No desire to discuss anything objectively or with facts, as long as Apple made it it's great.

And you’re confirming everything I’ve been told about Android fan boys with a chip on their shoulder.

Poppping on threads about Apple devices pretending to be impartial or rational. And then revealing that in the truth they just have a chip on their shoulder due to an inferiority complex.

Cliches and generalisations aren’t nice are they?

Couple of points.

1) This is a thread primarily trying to find stock.

2) Ofcourse it’s still a forum, but you’re discussing extremely marginal differences that even those on a pixel peeping SLR forum would often scoff at.

3) It appears you’ve made your choice and need to validate it by knocking others in whatever way possible (understandable, its an expensive purchase). If you really wanted to have a rational discussion with the possibility of someone proving you wrong why don’t you post a thread, instead of in one where most don’t actually have a phone?

Already had an order to be delivered in December. Managed to snag a 256gb in space grey to pick up in White City in London today. Card charged and previous order cancelled. Win!

Accidentally ordered TWO for pick up to so having to get one refunded when I get there later as only wanted one haha

Yep especially when someone who didn’t order on the 27th can wake up and get theirs on the day. Apple have really annoyed me this year.

Managed to reserve Silver 256GB at JL Brent cross. A few of their stores appear to have stock this morning so if you want one i'd get a move on

I'm not looking forward to my wait with EE after reading all this about supply increasing and delivery dates moving up. EE still don't seem to have fulfilled orders to those who ordered 8am on the first day, I ordered a few days later and my estimation was 28th - 4th. Doubt I'll be getting it sooner, but don't have the patience to wait longer.

They have to keep the "hype" going. If they operated a strict first come first served operation a huge proportion of people wouldn't bother joining the back of a ~6 week or greater queue. The hype machine would lose impetus and they'd have real difficulty getting them away at £1k+. They need the people that will get up at 6am everyday, because its them that will shout loudest and spread the hype/envy like a binomial expansion

Deep down we all know we are being played to a great extent. If you want it sooner you have to play the game unfortunately. Or the most sensible decision is don't be stupid and keep your existing phone and a grand on the hip (NB I've just reserved one so I am clearly stupid).

Quick update on my Argos order!!

Placed order Saturday, and was promised Monday. Had a text on Monday saying anytime between 14th and 24th November.

Just now had a text from Yodel saying my parcel will be with me today with tracking and a time range of 12:31 and 14:31

Can see im 47 stops away, so looks like mine is coming today from Argos.

Anyone got any updates from Argos?
