Hi all, I got my iPhone x today from JL, and it's fantastic. Been an iPhone 6 plus user and held off ordering to the model changed. Never been a fan of the big phone but got used to the screen size. The iPhone X is a happy compromise. Feels great in hand and the face ID and notch which I was worried about, work great and aren't off putting. Think those who are still waiting will love the device and it's worth the wait in my opinion.
Managed to get a 64gb Space Grey for instore pick up from Birmingham New Street today. Ordered this morning and just on my way home with it now. Should have been a midday reservation but i couldn't get there until 5.30 and i was out by 5.50, great service!
Yep as I’ve said before it’s a brilliant phone, with the best build quality of any iPhone for years. Feels properly premium. And the notch at the top does take a bit of getting used to by I’m in agreement with you, it kinda works.
iPhone X 64GB Space Grey ordered from O2 on the 3 Nov at 10.15am - just received my tariff change (18.45pm 17th Nov and "my orders" webpage says "order complete"): click and collect from the O2 store in Edinburgh - so hopefully some of you guys out there will also be getting yours soon as well.
Fingers crossed I can go into town tomorrow and pick it up. Will maybe phone the O2 shop tomorrow about 11am and see. Now all I have to do is get my old iPhone 7 + ready for them to do a trade-in.

Those who have ordered from JL for Saturday pick up. Are your orders showing as dispatched on the tracker yet? Hope it is actually going to be there tomorrow afternoon.. (first world problems I know).
John Lewis top tip: the status for collect in-store orders updates at the stroke of midnight from processing to "despatched".
But you can get two heads up:
- If your status at https://www.johnlewis.com/myaccount/lookup-order is "complete", and/or
- You get the service guarantee email,
You have to use that linked checker, logging in with your email won't show the "complete" status.
I had the same security call today from JL which I found odd. I've made numerous purchases from JL before, only difference this time was I registered a new card for this purchase.
I've been assured on the phone that phone will still be ready for collection tomorrow however my status has not changed from processing...

We got an email from Apple this afternoon saying "payment of your order could not be completed". We had paid in the app with Apple Pay. We called them this evening and they said something about a £300 limit for Apple Pay (which doesn't sound right) so we gave the bank card details. The status remains as "Order in progress". This is for delivery 24 November - 1 December (originally 28 November - 4 December)
I hope you didn’t get the phishing email that has been floating around and called the number from that. If so you have just been cleaned out good and proper
I checked the number we called (which was from the order page) and it's an Apple phone number.
Good.....because I know at lease one person that fell for the email and give all card details away. Luckily they contacted bank right away and got card stopped.
I did get a bit worried. But on checking the order page, it shows the updated payment details so all is well.
For those who've pre-ordered from Currys; just had an email to say my SG 256GB is on it's way and will be delivered by DPD. Doesn't say when it will be delivered but it's on its way! Really hope you all get the same email tonight and at least it shows some stock and order progression. Fingers crossed! Will update if and when it arrives!

I think iPhone X 64 GB is enough to me. And relatively speaking iPhone X 256 GB is more expensive. Though someone vote it ,it doesn't mean they will pay for it. I think voting should be more realistic and in line with reality, so that the result is meaningful.
