I don't really take many videos. But if you're gonna go around video recording for hours then you may aswell just go get a proper camera.

Why have a camera at all on the iPhone then? It is the convenience. Most people don't want to have to buy or carry around a camera. Does that mean they shouldn't be recording videos?

Everybody has different requirements.

I appreciate that another £150 is painful on top of an already exorbitant base price of £999 but you do get FOUR times the storage.

I think it was a psychology thing of not being able to face breaking the one thousand pounds limit and also that 256GB seemed far too much storage. Really annoyed Apple didn’t do a 128GB option for the X.
 
Picked up a 64GB SG on IUP at Reading store yesterday but there's a popping/creaking noise when I gently squeeze the phone at the top or 3D touch the screen near the top left. Reminds me of the 7+ creaking noise.

Booked an appointment at local Apple store to hopefully get it exchanged, assuming there's stock. I want a £1000 device to be solid.
 
Hi whiterider, my first post but just wanted to say that I'm in the same situation as you. Ordered an SG 256GB from Currys online with a discount code on 2nd November with delivery by 17th (just missed the 10th). No change in the status so I rang the "Know How" Customer Services earlier today. They checked my order and did confirm a date for delivery of the 17th saying that they had stock come in. It's now nearly midnight and still nothing changed. But I did check my previous order with them of an SG 256GB 8 Plus and though that said delivery of 22nd September, it was actually despatched on 22nd and delivered on Saturday 23rd. So there may be hope yet! If my status changes or I find anything more out I'll be sure to post and let you know. Fingers crossed for you! Well, for us both! :)

UPDATE: Just got off the phone again with Currys "Know How" Customer Services as still no change in order status, to be told that they have apparently been sent an email from their "delivery people" and there will be some form of notification today to all customers who have ordered. How true that is, I don't know and what this notification will be, I can't say but am getting slightly annoyed that they've taken our money with the promise of a delivery of 17th November (plastered all over their website) and so far, to use a pun, haven't delivered! Will give it a day and if nothing changes I think I will cancel and join the 6am Apple posse... :(

I can fully understand that as I felt the same but ‘adjusted’ to the idea.

I totally agree about Apple. They have used this unacceptable ploy of driving people to spend more than they really need on storage for some time now. They aren’t the richest company in the WORLD for nothing!

128GB would have been more than enough for me, but 64GB not enough sadly.

Please keep us updated! I also ordered from Curry's as I get 7% discount through my workplace. I ordered on 31 October when it said delivery by Friday 10 November. A day after I ordered Know How emailed me to say this had been delayed to the 17th due to "delay in receiving the stock" but I have heard nothing since then. I rang them Wednesday night and they said they had not had anything to suggest stock had been delayed again and that the stock should arrive today and then be sent out over the weekend. We shall see.......
 
How long do Envirofone take to process sales? They’ve had my phone since Monday but it’s just sitting as pending and their help desk have just said it’s normally processed within 24-48 hours. It’s gone past that timeframe but they don’t seem to have any process to find out what’s going on or escalate it.

They are normally quick so I would phone again (with your reference number) and ask them for a status report.

Status is 'Order Placed' - but I am picking up.

Just for future reference, O2 Recycle pay you the day they receive the device.

These DPD fools really do use a strange way of delivering efficiently...he’s been past my house so many times. Just 5 deliveries to go...

Has anyone else in the 24-1 bracket been bumped up? I've got a silver in that frame, and an SG in 28-5 bracket, no movement on either since ordering them :(

It will change to 'ready for pickup' ..... as for pickup outside your window, it depends how busy they are, yesterday they were turning people away at 1030 who had 1230 pickups but it was quite busy instore.
 
DPD have delivered my Vodafone iPhone X and headphones to my local matalan store as requested as I’m out at Uni all day so would have missed delivery. Will head there after Uni to get it and then head to Vodafone to apply my Nhs discount and then to Carphone Warehouse to trade my 7+ in

Mines just turned up and it’s worth the wait guys. Build quality is head and shoulders above the 7...and the screen is to die for.
