Woke up this morning and was a having a coffee and I decided to check store app (this has been my daily routine since launch) and to my surprise they had stock in London Brent Cross. I just got back after 3 hour round trip with the X and man is not hot!

I randomly checked JL last night, some time after midnight and they had stock so I just went for it. About an hour later they’d all gone. Delivery tomorrow.

Eh?

Looking forward to collecting mine from JL tomorrow. Hope I think it’s worth the investment when I see it :)

I always have a good feeling when something is coming from JL. Everything tech purchase I have made from them seems to be perfect and in the case of the 7+ and my last iPad, the ones I have ended up keeping!

Me too (getting mine from JL tomorrow)! I took the Photo Walk class at the Apple store today; the teacher let me use an iPhone X for the walk, so I could try out the portrait function. It felt really good in the hand - solid as a rock!

Was it delivered completely unannounced? Or did you get updates from yodel this morning and last night etc.?

And what does it say when you look at your order history in your Argos “my account” section?

I got an email at 10.33am on Wednesday to say my parcel from Argos was out for delivery and it arrived 5 minutes later. No prior notifications to this though..

I checked my Argos account and it now says the item has been delivered but having checked my card statement I have definitely been refunded in full.

Be very careful, goods sent in error are not the same as unsolicited goods in law, while you can legally keep unsolicited goods as they are considered an unconditional gift, you can be taken to court for the return or payment for goods sent in error as ownership remains with the sender.

A court action can be instituted for up to 6 years in England and Wales (or 5 years in Scotland).

I might just give it to the wife and if they come calling for the money then I'll pay them.

Seems the Edinburgh John Lewis store has a few in, didn't get a chance to check which models.
