Great to see some movement on everyones orders. If I remember correctly from last year those of us selecting store pickup won’t see an update from ‘processing’ until Wed/Thu next week

I dunno about the whole Watch comment. Only EE are supporting Apple Watch + cellular and networks tend to be pretty slow to adapt to this sort of thing. I asked my network if they were even considering support and they all but said they’d not even thought about it.

I though I read that it was an EE exclusive. if so other carriers won't have a choice to support the new watch until such deal ends.

...so those who have 'Preparing to ship' notifications, there's a slim, chance you'll receive these before next Friday, no?!
never! :)

...frankly, I'm amazed there is still availability of the iPhone 8 Plus in London:

Oh wow. Sky Mobile. £57 for a refresh deal so could go for a 8+ 256 (£99 upfront) and upgrade next year again.

edit: That's with £15 5gb data. Would be £52 for 1gb (yes I know that's nothing but I work from home and I'm on wireless constantly).

You can buy it without a line deal but can't see anywhere if these are unlocked or not

Super interested in what they're going to do for iPhone X. As a Sky TV customer you get free calls and texts which saves £10 so Sky Mobile arguably the best value at the moment for myself and if they do the same for X I may leave o2 after 10 years for them.

Sky Mobile seem to have by far the best deals.

No upfront and £42 a month for a 64GB 8+, £52 if you're not a Sky customer.

I'm a Sky cust and a VIP (18 years long service) and only found out about this when I called them to cut down my bill (which they did with their usual discounts). The bloke mentioned Sky Mobile and I blanked it. Only just looked on there today and I'm really surprised how appealing their deals are compared to o2. Apparently they use o2's network?

Anyways, out of nowhere, looks like I'll be upgrading to the 8+ and do a yearly refresh. Well chuffed.

Did the order at 8am this morning for 256 gb 8+ for pick up in Stratford in case I went down the new phone pay in installments route but in the end that I've ordered a red 256 gb 7+ from envirofone for £649.

With the £ 255 cashback I've got from trading in my current phone means it's a much more swallowable £389 for the phone. Coming from what is now a very sluggish memory maxed out 64gb 6 Plus - looking forward to it being faster, having touch id that actually works, better camera and lots of lovely space!

Will keep the order until phone arrives tomorrow just in case have a change of heart but can't see me being persuaded to hand over the extra £300 for the latest one this year.

But Apple may ultimately win as that £300 'saving' might get spent on a watch.....

Big fan of EE as I rely on them for internet at home.
Its the first time EE have offered 100GB of data (I have a data sim 100GB per month but a 'data only sim') they have never offered this before on a phone I dont think.

Folks would struggle to use 100GB in a month on a smartphone, but could tether with it.

I pay £30 PM for 100GB data only EE sim.

Yes they use o2 networks

Great. Although the one quirk in the plan is that I have to use TU app for calls from home. Where I am there's a black spot. Coverage around surrounding area is perfect.

Also been with o2 for 10 years +

I ordered mine this morning with an In Store Pick Up on Friday 8am, the money hasn't even moved out of my account and status says ''Your Order Has Been Received'' Is this normal?

...thats weird cos I only got the option of Friday 22nd?! I didn't get that day calendar menu to choose a day, when i pre-ordered this morning!

Oh well, just means I'll be at work a little later on that day!!!!
is it not only people who are currently on IUP who are upgrading that seem to get a choice of days? first time IUP having to do Friday?

Bit O/T, but I was going to go caseless with my 8 Plus as the back is glass and wouldn't show scratches as much as the aluminium (ordered Silver 8 Plus). But drops scare me, so ordered one of these coloured bumpers....

Went for the silver

I'm on iUP and I can't recall seeing a choice of days, only a choice of 30 minute slot on 22nd
