Well the Anker wireless charger arrived. Hardly constitutes a review but looks pretty decent. Smaller than I expected (7 plus included for scale)

If the iPhone's only charge at 7.5w, do these 10w chargers work?

I was looking at getting this too. Much cheaper than the Belkin or Mophie ones on the Apple site.

I don' think I could honestly part with 1k in one swoop, would rather spread the cost with IUP.

Is that for the X or 8?

Thats for the X. I posted a few pages back about their tentative pricing they put up.

To benefit from 10w, this would need to be paired with the Quick Charge adapter bought separately. That said, not sure what it would then provide the iPhone, 7.5w or standard 5w? Won’t be using this for quick charge as I have the 29w adapter from Apple. This will just be a convenient bedside charger

The X is 999 so over 24 months it would cost you 41.60 this means O2 are charging around £30 a month extra for 10gb of data with unlimited calls and messages.

So they basically stuck their £30 tariff for 10gb into the total price plus a small upfront fee.

For reference Vodafone charge £25 for 25gb and it includes an entertainment pack.

O2 prices are a rip off.

Think it's because it's on o2 refresh which is a yearly upgrade on them.

After looking round there is not much in it for pricing on any carrier and none of them are cheaper than Apple finance plus SIM only.

I'm interested in what Sky Mobile are going to do. If their 8 & 8+ pricing is anything to go off I think they will be competitive.

I really don't want an X to be an option. I've wanted an OLED screen for so long but I've got OCD for the notch. Pretty sure the price for the X with Sky will still be pricey. I think it's unavoidable. If it's not, if a swap option actually is competitive...damn...gonna get dizzy.

Agree; the more I see EE prices the more it makes sense why EE weren't helpful to facilitate the hotukdeals data sim only deal I snapped up a couple of months ago I dropped into a mifi as their standard prices are pretty expensive. Something has to pay for Kevin Bacon...

Word of warning with Sky Mobile, it's essentially a 30 month contract, so multiplying the monthly price by 24 is a bit misleading...

How does the Swap 12 contract work if you decide to swap the phone for a new one 12 months in? Is the contract always 24 months but you're resetting it each time you choose to upgrade one year into it? Obviously, if you don't upgrade you pay the phone off in the 24 months and then you're free to choose your next step.

edit: 30 month contract is for Swap 24. Strange.

Processing Items. As we’re picking up we may not see this change until Wednesday or Thursday next week. Pretty sure that’s how it worked last year

This is the first time I'm doing such a delivery option thought I saw someone have their order enter My Reservations in the app, then they could add it to the Wallet?

Strange. Haven’t been given the option to add to wallet either. Perhaps they were iUP orders? Different system maybe?

These O2 tarriffs, sorry if the answer is obvious, I've been on a sim only deal and buying unlocked phones for ages now.

Are the prices flexible, do they give you the option to pay a bigger upfront fee and then less per month? They used to, is that still a thing?

£39 upfront for a £1000 phone

Yes they will when their full tariffs are released.

Is there a reason why the o2 deals on mobiles.co.uk are cheaper than the deals on Carphone Warehouse or the O2 shop?

Out of interest, those people who are going for the 8/8 plus instead of the X why have you decided to do so ? Especially since the X will only be about £10 / month more.
