Has anyone pre-ordered with o2?
That's odd it's not like there in short supplyThere's being cheeky and then there's this. Funny how he includes his name and address.
Not sure wether to go for the X on IUP or buy outright.
Think I'll upgrade next year for the X replacement as hopefully be more refined/bugs ironed out/ better size (X plus?) etc.
If so then if was on IUP would be fine, however if bought outright I'm wondering if the resale will drop quite a bit on the current X, maybe the 2018 X be cheaper starting price etc...
Also half worried on trying to pre-order using the IUP that don't get in quick enough rather than a straight sale.
Any comments?
I don't understand how my iphone 6 was £249 and the 8 is almost a grand..
For that I could get a macbook air !!
The prices now are crazy
iPhone 6 was never £249 new ?!?
My 64GB 6 was £619.![]()
I'm going to reserve outright online simply for speed. I'm a new IUP customer and don’t know how long it’ll take to do in the app. For outright I have the X set up as a peed it up a little.
You can't set up IUP in the app anyway. Only in store.
iUP 'joining' isn't really joining, it's just reserving a phone for instore collection, where you then sign up for iUP.I thought you can join by going to the phones list and scrolling down to the bottom - there is an IUP entry there.
Iphone payments you can’t do in the app or online - in store only

Minutes. How long does it take in the app? If I have to do name/address etc it’ll take too long. If it’s just 'select phone' and 'select store' it might be ok.
Tbh I can just slap it on a 2 year 0% credit card via money transfer to my current account which should be faster for me. Then keep or sell in a year.
Minutes.
App>Shop>iPhone>iPhone Upgrade Program.
From there, Join Now, select model, pickup date and time and 'payment' method (just acts as a hold, they don't take the payment, as you'll be sorting that out when you go in and collect).
You can do it with or without Apple care?
Isn't it cheaper without Apple care?
Upgrade program includes Applecare, the interest free program doesn't.You can do it with or without Apple care?

No problems with either company, gone with Envirophone this time as much higher for some reason on same phone, use code EXTRA5 for a bit more!
...that's exactly what I'm gonna do come next Friday. With iPhone payments you get interest free over 20 months and don't need to take the Apple Care.
Is never pre-ordered with them either. But have done for an iPhone 8 Plus. I know last year was a total disaster for o2 in terms of delivery / information on shipments etc.
The website says "order by midnight on 21/9 and get it from 22/9". Elsewhere, on the iPhone 8 for example they are saying "up to 3 weeks"
So fingers crossed that they actually are planning on delivering devices to customers from 22/9.
Been following this thread for the last 8 pages and all I read about is something to do with an iPhone Upgrade Program, and a Payment Plan. I have looked online but struggle to see what benefits they have, especially if one could afford to buy a phone or two completely outright?
I assume the Payment Plan is just you buy an iPhone and then pay it off over 20 months with 0% interest, so say you bought 8 Plus 64GB at £799. You'd pay £39.95 over 20 months (Plus additional for apple care if its required), but can't see how Apple would allow this, there must be some sort of catch?
I am not even sure about the iUP....
Iphone payments - just 20 months interest free. Can only be done in store
IUP - 20 month interest free but you have to take AppleCare+ on top of the price of the phone. Difference is you can hand back your phone after 12 months and start again with a new phone
So if I did a 8 Plus 64GB at £799 on an iUP. What would I expect to pay monthly, or does it depend on how much you put upfront?
What a moron, i bet he thought they'd all sell out insanely fast and people would just pay for them. Jokes on himThere's being cheeky and then there's this. Funny how he includes his name and address.
