Late to the thread this year. Good to see some familiar faces, and some new ones too!

I went for:

Had a few Apple Pay issues but all seems to be sorted now.

I'm getting excited for the Xs Max in gold the 8 Plus was beautiful so i have high expectations for the new model. Can anyone recommend a case where i can still appreciate the colour?

(posting this as i go past the Apple store in Edinburgh funnily enough )

I may have mentioned it a few times

I posted this on Saturday - anyone got any thoughts (not seen an answer)?

Not to be factious but how does that make a difference if you’re buying outright?

Unless I missed something and you’re getting on IUP or IP.

If so, you can’t put more down than the £69 deposit but you can pay more directly to Barclays to reduce your debt. That wouldn’t change your monthly payment, just reduce the term length and potential how soon you could upgrade

What the best carrier to sign up to with quidco cashback or topcashback any deals.
what about coverage in Leeds and speeds with these networks.
Me currently on Tesco.
Tesco give me today is £30 for 20gb ;p

Vodafone,EE,Three,O2

Looking for about 40gb data a most heard good things about EE but terrible things about 3UK.
I need great speeds roaming and great speeds in London heading over this Christmas and New year.

I made a snap decision when I checked the site the day of preorders, I ordered an XS 256gb in space grey and a leather folio case in black, just got the shipping notification that they will be with me on the 19 and 20th.
Upgrading from a 7 plus.

Hi all,

I ordered on the day of announcement using Apple Pay, it seems payment still hasn’t been taken. Would this suggest a problem, or will the money be taken at some point this week?

I am a long-time ghost resident on this forum as I rarely post but been an avid follower for years!

Nice day today, my black leather Apple case dispatched for delivery Wednesday.

For anyone looking for a decent tempered glass screen protector I can highly recommend two Companies:

First up, Intelliarmor based in the US, offer 15/20% discounts & provide top customer services too:

https://intelliarmor.com/products/intelliglass-pro-apple-iphone-xs-max-edge-to-edge

https://intelliarmor.com/collection...liglass-blue-light-shield-apple-iphone-xs-max

They also do a couple 10W wireless chargers which look great (I’ve not one bought yet) albeit more expensive than the regular cheap ones.

Second up, I highly recommend UK-based MediaDevil that offer great products with great discounts and exceptional customer service:

https://mediadevil.com/collections/...-protector-ultra-tough-mediadevil-magicscreen

https://mediadevil.com/collections/...ear-installation-frame-mediadevil-magicscreen

This weeks impatient wait continues for the XS Max.

Roll on Friday!

I'm not currently on the iUP or IP. I bought my last phone outright. Apple recycle old phones but the credit is in the form of Apple Store Credit. I was just wondering if I take my current phone instore, can I get them to refund my online order (which I should have on Friday), trade in my current phone for the gift card and use that to partly fund the XS Max.

Not quite sure how it 'doesn't make a difference' - when the credit from Apple can only be used in their store...

I traded in my 7 plus for the X last year, didn't have my plus with me, so bought the X and went back a few days later, the trade in offer was NOT given to me onto a gift card and I was refunded on to my CARD!

Hope that helps, it doesn't always have to be gift card, you could go in now and trade if you felt like it, just show your receipt of NEW purchase.

Thanks - I'll head in over the weekend then and give it a try. Can they partial refund AppleCare (if there is coverage left on the device) in the store or is that done over the phone?

Just updated my 7 Plus to iOS12 and my 7 Plus feels so much quicker!

iPad Pro 10.5 was fast anyway so cant say i notice as much on that.

Not to sure on this one, last time I bought AppleCare and refunded was years ago, that was done over the phone. Give them a call before popping in over the weekend and see if you can kill two birds with one stone, while at the store.

Just seen on https://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers/10-extra-on-tech-at-music-magpie-3051301. code for music magpie 10% code if anybody interested just put my iphone x 256gb in will give me £650.10 same as last week before new iphone announcement
Good spot, thanks. Has anyone used Music Magpie before ? Have they generally been ok. Generally use envirofone but locked in at £635 with them so this MM deal just beats it. In addition envirofone did do me over a little last year on a 6 Plus.
