Hi all,

I ordered on the day of announcement using Apple Pay, it seems payment still hasn’t been taken. Would this suggest a problem, or will the money be taken at some point this week?
Same for me! Still says pending in Apple Pay transaction list .

Good spot, thanks. Has anyone used Music Magpie before ? Have they generally been ok. Generally use envirofone but locked in at £635 with them so this MM deal just beats it. In addition envirofone did do me over a little last year on a 6 Plus.
It's only offering £591 when I enter my iPhone X 256GB?

This is why I don't trust this companies and rather deal with them face to face, I went looking for offers on my X a few weeks back, had a little scratch, very minor on the side. The lady in Carphone Warehouse said shed offer me £200 for a 256G X, yes £200. I said to her politely you're crazy and left the store.

I then went to kings road on 2 weeks ago and sold my X to Carphone Warehouse £650, no questions asked. Yes I could of got more selling privately but didn't want the hassle. The First Lady asked why do you want to sell, I said I'm get the max once it was released. Go figure

You need to add the code Tech10.
Thanks for that. yep, worked and is a bit more than envirofone. Just need to know if they're reliable or not. My X is in mint condition. Don't want to send it for them to say it's not. Anyone here used wither company and what are they like?

I've used MM before, it's fine, just a faff having to package it up and wait. I'd use CPW but it's over £50 less, so locked in a MM price for now, and will send next Monday hopefully.

do you tend to get the quoted price from MM, or is there much bait&switch, with the offer being lowered once they receive the phone, declaring it to be in a poorer condition than expected?

Some stupid question they ask sometimes it's like asking someone why do you want a big screen phone I want to watch media on it. lol

If the order is still processing and your date is the one expected, you’ll get your phone

I'm not currently on the iUP or IP. I bought my last phone outright. Apple recycle old phones but the credit is in the form of Apple Store Credit. I was just wondering if I take my current phone instore, can I get them to refund my online order (which I should have on Friday), trade in my current phone for the gift card and use that to partly fund the XS Max.

Not quite sure how it 'doesn't make a difference' - when the credit from Apple can only be used in their store...

But you’d get more money from envirofone then Apple?

I can only quote my music magpie experience.
Received full i phone se quote during 2017.
They were slower than o2 recycle though considerably higher valuation received.
I use royal mail guaranteed delivery to ensure my device is delivered in 24hrs safely.\
Think music magpie were at least 5-7 working days for payment.

I ordered on Friday and my payment got declined.

No idea why my bank thought me sending money to Apple was so out the ordinary ha

But I told the bank to let the payment go through, and Apple informed me the payment was taken via online chat.

My Apple Pay transaction says ‘approved.’

My order is preparing for dispatch for dilivery on Friday.

But there is no sign of any money being taken. It’s not even on hold. Odd.

Wonder if the bank mix up has led me to getting a free phone?!

Probably not, but I can dream.

I think they only take the money after your phone has been dispatched.
