Day 2 of Max ownership and ... man, this thing is kinda heavy? And huge?

The Watch Series 4 is amazing though guys. Honestly.

My defect swap out just a while ago was set up as a new IUP pretty much. Same process but he said Barclays know it’s an ‘exchange’. What get they means

Last year I found the battery life on my iPhone X to be worse than my iphone 7 plus. It’s the main I upgraded to the max this year.
 
Hey Guys, I was holding out on the Xs until October but I'm weak so I was hoping to head to Bromley today to try my luck even though the website shows no stock until October 9th.

I'm on the iUP with the X, the plan is to pay the X balance with Barclays and get on a new iUP for the Xs Max. Does anyone know if I can have 2 iUP going at the same time? That would be the case until I manage to pay off the balance with Barclays (they are closed today). I also saw some people mention that when you pay the phone off the refund the remaining applecare, is that true? That would be sweet.

I'm feeling the same about my max. I feel the need to check out the standard size

You should keep an eye on that. Mines on 97% since this morning. I do have the max though.

Yup did exactly that. Have both currently active as I’m yet to call Barclays to settle my X IUP.

Yes on the AppleCare front as the loan amount includes the full cost of IUP £199 and clearly if you settle up early you’re entitled to the remaining balance back. I got £117 back for mine

To be honest virgin mobile and 3uk need to take out unlimited data and replace it with a hard limit like 100gb.

Thanks I like to get my money's worth each month using a 1TB or more is good for my money.

Appreciate the reply! Now to find stock. :( Seems the Xs Max is sold out everywhere and the Xs available everywhere. Argh!

6am checks! Bromley was sold out but likely they keep stock for replacements etc. Managed to swap my damaged max there earlier
 
Can't believe this. I thought for being an "s year" and cost more than ever it would've been available everywhere and it was available Friday and Saturday but nothing today... y u do this to me Apple, why?!
 
Just moved to dispatch 256GB Max Gold .. will be refusing delivery as I got one from John Lewis. Loving, loving, loving it though! The battery life on the Max is noticeably better than my X was (that wasn’t too bad either though)

Still saying delivery between 24th and 1st October.

Side note: John Lewis is showing all colours of Max with 256GB storage available for home delivery or click and collect.

I’m with you there on the max. Hopefully will get used to the weight but there is a part of me that thinks it may go back within the 14 days if feel it’s too heavy.

Just picked up the Cape Cod Blue leather case. Think it works especially well with the silver phone.

24-1 Oct delivery is tracking to be delivered tomorrow so it looks as though, as is often the case, Apple are being quite swift with the deliveries. Hopefully the next batch will be shipping out Tuesday maybe?!

Still waiting for movement on my Gold Max 64GB with delivery window 25th sept - 2nd Oct. Since 24th window people have seen dispatch I’m hoping mine will move tomorrow
 
I knew it! 24th-1st crew; it’s coming tomorrow :D . So what appeared to be an App Store glitch earlier was a status update episode
 
I’ve just came back from the Apple Store after replacing my iPhone XS Max because of its pink screen hue issue and this one is much better! It still has a bit of a yellow tint but there’s almost no colour shift so I’m happy with it! :)
Was painless overall and they had replacement stock set aside, but an odd thing was that I had to re-do the iUP process completely.
I also got a chance to check out the iPhone XS size and I can’t believe I was used to how small that thing is. The Max is so much better IMO!
