...Now I'm reading that the XS and Max might have antenna problems and weak signal issues....
Yes, it’s troubling. Take a look at this article:

Ah damn it! Just got my XS up and running, and the one app I NEED doesn't work!
The HSBC app has now been updated and works perfectly. I've transferred my code generation and can now wipe my old phone. Thanks, definitely not holding my breath! Was going to send my 8+ to Music Magpie yesterday but restored it and put the HSBC apps back onto it. Grrrr!
Replaced the phone today at my local apple store same issue this is going back tomorrow for a refund something definitely not right here the genius bar staff was shocked we reset the iphone to brand new tried my old sim card terrible speeds with only 1-2 signal bars.Something definitely isn’t right with your phone.
Best advice I can give is try a a complete restore on iTunes where it loads a fresh os if it doesn’t improve give apple support a call or download the apple support app.
Yep, saw the facebook post this afternoon. Updated and good to go now, really enjoying the XS so far from my 7+, and I haven't even had chance to use the camera yet!The HSBC app has now been updated and works perfectly. I've transferred my code generation and can now wipe my old phone.
Let’s get things straight here ,I was not borrowing any money at all ,I was there for an exchange .Good point, because I’m sure they didn’t have many people buying iPhones on the launch day of the new iPhones right?
There are laws in place to protect consumers and employees, it’s not reasonable to expect someone who probably saw thousands of customers 24 hours earlier to vouch for you when you’re borrowing over a £1000.
The onus was on you to check what was needed, not anyone else and saying that ”no one told me I’d need a photo I.D” just screams immaturity and an inability to take responsibility for your own actions (a widespread problem today unfortunately).

Apple support were fully aware the phone was bought via the IPhone payments plan ,as was the lady from the store I spoke to before going to the store ,nobody mentioned any Id being needed ,and why would it ,it was an exchange ,I had the phone ,the receipt ,and my debit card .
So before you start getting all high and mighty with me ,get your facts right ,you really don’t have a clue do you !
That’s a great price. I only got £635 for my immaculate iPhone X 256gb....now getting £660.11 offer plus it gives me two weeks so no rush to decide if keep iphone xs max well happy
Hello, Guys I can confirm two iPhone XS Max here with only 1 bar signal speeds showing around 4.45mb
iPhone X 256GB With 4 bars signal speeds showing around 61.34mb.
Anyone from the UK having the same iPhone speed/signal issues at the moment.
Two brand new Max phones all setup brand new no iCloud/iTunes restore.
Mines going back tomorrow not paying £1099 to reset network settings for faster speed and signal.Wow. That sounds bad.
I see the story has hit the verge.com now too.
I've read some saying that either restarting the phone and resetting network settings could help sometimes but it will happen again.
Seriously contemplating cancelling my XS order at the moment now as really don't want to be dealing with this.
Too many people saying they have issues now.
Just came back from Regent Street and was rejected for the iUP even though I have already got my current X on the iUP and my situation hasn’t changed at all from last year. 999 credit score on Experian. Feels a bit crap. I’ll call Barclays tomorrow but I don’t think they’ll help. Meh...

Wow! I didn’t even know that was possible on a phone! In the Three club here lol - it’s fine where I live but if I spent more time where it’s rubbish I’d definitely jump ship!Wow, just done a Speedtest. I’m on EE and got 220mbps
As others have said, a trade in to Carphone Warehouse is painless and usually on par with the top trade in places.Had a disaster of a day trying to buy an XS in the Reading Store.
Firstly yesterday their network was down so were unable to sell anything to the public.
So I bought an XS at 6am this morning online for collection at 10am.
All was going well until it came to trade in my S9 Plus phone ... Despite Apple's own website accepting the IMEI number and serial number , their own systems in store are out of sync and more importantly way out of date. Basically the in store system said my phone didn't exist but their own website did find by the IMEI.
So they refused to give a trade in value for it despite their own website listing a £385 trade in. He said the website offer is technically a separate company but they are supppsed to be aligned to the in-store trade ins. I hate eBay and other post your phone sites having been scammed previously.
Spoke to the manager who agreed it was insane but all they could do was ask for my phone's IMEI to be added to the in store database which might take days to a week and a half. Yep... I had to leave empty handed or pay full price for the phone. They simply wouldn't accept the trade in despite Apple's own website offering £385 !!
In the meantime , the phone I bought but was unable to collect is sat at the store (up to 21 days) whilst the mess get a sorted out or I can just cancel the order.
My plan at this point is to phone on Saturday and ask if it's in the database yet. If it is , ok but if not will probably just cancel as I'm not convinced it will get added.
Manager said I'm not then first this has happened to either. Basically they don't honour the trade in you see on the website...

I thinking about cancelling my contract what the point paying this amount each month with drop calls and signal problems.Wow. That sounds bad.
