It will be interesting to see if there are any deals to sell off the remaining stock as the x has been discontinued.

I am hoping so. The X is perfect for my needs and will be for a while, but just can't justify that pricetag. I got my iPhone 7 last year at a great discount after the new phones released.

Not sure where to post this, but does anyone know if the iPhone X tariffs will go down in price once the new models are released?

X has been discontinued, but some networks will probably offer deals to clear inventory

Have to say im a bit torn as to what to do... Sold my 8+ last week, glad i did, should never have bought it... But im seriously debating buying a brand new X off ebay if the prices drop to around £600-£650. Just cant see the point of buying an XS for so much more?

Having said that, if i do decide to get one how does the reservation work? I don't want IUP, but would go with iPhone Payments programme. So on Friday morning i reserve one... Do i pay for it in full then go in store and get refunded? Or when you reserve do you not need to pay anything? Or do i reserve one under the IUP programme and then change in store? How does it work?

I wish Apple would offer all this online... Having to go to a store is a pain, especially when the closest one to me is 35 miles away.

I know I will get the max 256GB

But I shouldn’t these prices are shocking

Note 9 £200 cheaper..wtf

Note 9 512GB same price as max 64GB
The prices are terrible. I shudder to think about what monthly contract prices will be.

On o2 you can do it over 36 months now but that probably means no yearly upgrade. It would work out cheaper per month but then I’d be stuck with it for 3 years or having to pay a lot off to upgrade after 1 year.

Don’t forget the Apple care on top.....

Yeah I was going to possibly push to a grand for the Max, I don’t know, I’m thinking very long term purchase too.
I know I could get a 7 Plus and have a great device for half he cost. Hmm I need to see this in person but man 64GB for £1100!!! That’s truly pathetic.

Maybe the X will drop to 8 to 850 on sale?

I also saw that the new Apple Watch 4 ECG monitor will not work in the U.K., thanks oh but Apple still charge £400 for it!!

Mine is £87 a month for the X on EE which is £1149 so another £100 pounds for the 6.5? £90-95? A month

O2 do 36 month contracts now so it would reduce the monthly cost but then it’s a 3 year phone.

You can still reserve under IUP and say you want to use iPhone payments at time of purchase

It’s not a case it won’t work, it’s just not approved by MHRA yet in the U.K.

Does anyone remember the best way to reserve an iPhone for the upgrade program? I can’t remember how I reserved my X last year!

Through the app, tomorrow morning, should we go to account > iup and through that way, checking eligibility etc,

Or should we put the model we want in our bag and then will there be an option for iup in the checkout?

Thanks for anyone’s help!

Indeed, and does it really matter that the ECG function doesn’t have formal approval or endorsement from UK medical authorities.

If it’s good enough for the US then surely it’s good enough for us.

Good old brexit could cause more delays if apple focuses on eu approvals over specific U.K. one.

Does anyone know roughly what time the presale will go live on Apple website? Will it be midnight or a set time in the morning to coincide with the US?

You can pay it off at any time or thats my assumption i think thats what it says in the blurb but it will be £100 or so more than the retail price or it has been on previous occasions.

I’m torn. My 8 plus is on apple upgrade, so I’ll likely upgrade to the 256 max but that’s some serious wedge at £68 a month for just the phone.

Then the watch series 4. I’m on O2 so no cellular for me. The ECG isn’t active in the UK and tbh may never be. The SS 44mm is £750! May just keep my series 2 SS

I said I won’t bite this year for the Xs Max but I’m heading out to Vegas on monday for a few weeks.

Just worked out that the sim free 256gb version works out to be $1249 + 8.25% sales tax = $1352 which at today’s rate comes at £1036. That’s a saving of £213.

Only snag will be availability and a chance that the esim part might not work in the UK as I know this was an issue with the s3 cellular watch. Personally I can’t rememebr having the need to swap sims as I’ve got USA and EU roaming in my tariffs so I could live without that.

I think I’m gonna take a punt.
