£43.95 a month for the 8 Plus, to be exact.
[doublepost=1535541236][/doublepost]...so regarding Applecare - I already have this on the 8 Plus. When I upgrade to a new phone this year, do I then start up a new Applecare agreement on the new phone?
If so, I've never understood why you would have to start a new agreement for every new Apple product you buy - surely Applecare should cover all your Apple products, no?!
apple care tied to a product not a general insurance for all.
do you have your 8+ on IUP? if so your monthly cost includes the cost of apple care. If you sign a new IUP agreement you will also have apple care included in that cost too.
if you have a 8+ outside of IUP and you bought apple care separately, you can get a refund for any remaining months if sell the phone it is tied too.
[doublepost=1535542143][/doublepost]talking of IUP, has anyone who's on it with an X thought about selling the phone separately and then paying off the finance yourself?
after 11 payments the remaining balance on the finance will be (for an X 256GB) £575.55. looking today, music magpie offer £680 for this model so doing this today, I'd be ~£105 better off!
clearly the value of the X will drop in the next month (and I've only made 9 payments so far) so those number would change a little but none who was happy to go without an X for 3 weeks or so could save a few quid!

Ok, at least I didn't dream it up.
I do recall seeing screenshots from those 7 owners already on it, asking them if they wanted to move straight to an X and it seemed they had a nice simple transition, without all of the queuing, availability dramas that everyone else had.
so it does look like it was a dream. The only thing I can find from last year is this

looks like people were told to check eligibility (which all IUP members can do now) and then join the queue when the phone went on sale!
I do also recall that once the phone went on general sale, the IUP folk were able to see store stock which wasn't available for reservation by the general public. This meant that they had first dibs on in store stock
