Right! I got so excited thinking it was my code. What a disappointment. I was thinking about just paying the $20, I have been anxiously awaiting for this release but that isn't fair. Reading all the posts from those that installed, come on Apple, we deserve to be playing tonight too!!!

omg you just created you account today, only cause of this mountain lion validation takes so long? :)

submitted mine for 2nd time. (yes with the same SN i can get another reference number) not sure how the system works, but still waiting for the Apps Code to pop out in my email :(

Well it only took about an hour for me to get my validation, unfortunately I got the error message saying my code has already been redeemed. I'm guessing the 72 hour quote people are getting is the estimated time it will take to get this mess sorted out.

Oh I just remind what I have done...
I wanted to do this code request thing on my MacBook (which needs the ML) but the it looked like that the website is currently unavailable for Mac users, idk why that happened but my PC was next to me and I entered the Apple validation thing website and all worked, so I filled in all my Data and Serial on the PC, I hope they don't care about on which device you sent the request for this code, but who knows, I kinda feel f*u*c*ked now, the installing process on my MacBook Pro Retina only takes around 13 minutes (I read) and I am waiting for like ages

Going on hour 12 for me. Not a huge deal. I can wait. But! I'm thinking that a "blanket" email to the claim requests indicating a delay beyond what's posted on the website would suffice.

Meh, launch day. Something was bound to occur.

Yup. I am a recent converter...lol but have really gotten into it.

cool, I try to get a positive posting static haha sorry for that but thats my target which has to be done the next couple of days ;) but thats my secret  I hope nobody gonna be angry here lol but anyway you already got a ratio by 5 or sth so I was jealous :D

an email after submitting the request would be good in general - it'd be great to have it confirmed that your request went through properly, because I certainly know I wasn't sure if mine did.

I filled mine out at about 5:30 pm, and have not gotten it as of this posting. I'm anxious to upgrade, but what is another day or so?

Yeah think so too, especially when its not your personal data you have to fill in and you have to guess what it is, but its all correct i think, or may not  thats why I dont get those mails

Has anyone here submitted their request within the last hour or so this evening? What happened?

I was just going through my old email account to fill in time. It's my apple id account but I don't use it anymore. Anyway, worked out I got the date of purchase wrong in my application ... by like a week. Anyone know if that will be a problem? Should I re-apply just in case?

No prob....not sure what all that means but I will adapt to this forum soon. And back to the topic, I am disappointed about the delay but in all honesty, $20 for an OS upgrade....wow! That is unheard of the the "other world".

if anyone read the news today on other tech sites you would have found out that there is an issue with the codes. app store saying all codes have been redeemed. this is due to the ML up2date page going live last week. they are working on it and it will be a few days or so.

I'm pretty sure Apple just stopped sending them, probably to fix the invalid codes... cause I mean not 1 person has posted here saying they successfully got their code in like 5 pages.

Yeah I know but I don't really care about the price tag and I think if its such an impressed update then I might have bought it but the only thing I did today was waiting, at Starbucks for those mails :D I mean 20$ isnt much (I only could have bought 3 big frappuccionos for it) but yeah I would like to get the update for free and I am not unhappy with Lion or miss any features at this time
