Got my code!!!! Did it a third time about 2 hours ago. Hope it works.
Edit: It worked! And BIG note was that the one that went through was the third one. I could tell from the reference number that was sent to me in my email. All 3 times picked Macbook Air, and all 3 times used my same S/N. I never got the error that the S/N was used before nor was I ever asked to send a proof of purchase. I'm in Los Angeles, don't know if that's relevant to any of this. Anyway, I'm going to DL and fresh install.

I gave in and just purchased it, (in addition to a new rMBP) I have an '08 unibody pro and an iMac so I could justify (seemingly) giving apple $40 for the OS for 3 machines.
I am of the opinion they are spacing it out for their servers sake I am having the longest downloading times ever from Apple.

I did this first thing this morning and it asked me to provide "proof of purchase" I don't know what that meant so I just included anything i could think of that proved that i purchased my computer. I got a confirmation code, I waited over 14 hours, still nothing. I tried resubmitting and it worked, giving me a different code and not asking for proof of purchase so hopefully this works.
I haven't gotten a mountain lion email from apple but just got one from my reseller.
Anyone know if I can get the store to install for me if I have the code for having bought a new mac? Was just thinking about it and 4gb more than my month's internet at uni, more than my phone internet and I pay almost $50 for 4gb of my own internet. Didn't think through the fact that upgrading isn't really free.

Update: Just received a second PDF with supposedly a new code, however I have not received the password for the PDF yet....
Group B here. Been 12 hours and I haven't seen anything.
Sounds like people are having success resubmitting. I'll give it a little longer and maybe try that.
I just tried resubmitting, says already claimed as few others suggested. 17 hours and counting...
Been waiting 12 hours 20 minutes now . Getting a little annoyed since it has been so long, but I can wait a few more, as long as they don't seem to 'forget' about me and I have to contact them. That would make me an unhappy customer.

Tried the new code just came in, works like magic.
Same, tried resubmitting, says mine was used. I don't know how some people are able to submit like 5 times.
This is good news! Means they have resumed issues codes, probably fixed the error codes!

Reposting only because I feel like no one saw my post that may be helpful to some^^
My advice is to resubmit if you can. If it says S/N is in use, try picking Macbook for your Macbook Air or Vice Versa--haven't tested this but hoping some of you guys can finally get your code like I did.
