52 hours of wait, nothing besides an ad from Apple for the MBP that I already have and ML that i'm waiting to upgrade to :(

last night I did contact support and they just told me I was confirmed (which is some sort of piece of mind) and it should get to me within 48 hours ...from last night...ARGHHH

We need a competition on who waits the longest.. (not including the pre release window)

I reckon they'll probably send mine at 71:59:27sec...

With my luck, I bet I'll beat you at 71:59:58 seconds, but I won't quite win, because somebody will get theirs at 71:59:59 seconds!

I just talked to an Apple rep and he said if it hasn't come in by 8 o'clock Pacific time to call back... if calling does anything why can't they just help me now? I don't see how calling again could help if it isn't helping me now.

48 here and still nothing. Hoping i get it by this evening.

Hope I get mine before I go to work this evening to at least get the download started.

They sent you my code?!?! :(

EDIT:

Apparently I am not adept at quoting articles on MacRumors. Maybe, just maybe, since I am prone to making terrible mistakes, Apple will hire me for the 10.9 Up-To-Date program. :)

Lol...

I just submitted a second request via the online form and it didn't tell me that my serial # had already been claimed?? Could be something awry in the works over there since it's been 49 hours since my initial submission.

Bizarre.

I know most are scratching their head on why some are making a big deal about something that shouldn't be one; it's only $19.

I live very rurally and my only internet access is USB broadband with a 6gb monthly cap. I made arrangements for a visit to a family member to glom onto their internet for the download thinking the code would be instantly received.

Apple took care of my iTunes refund :D! I'm happy.

...

Guys....Get onto ExpressLane.

Thats what I did.. and i got mine.:apple:

If I knew it was THAT easy to do, i never would have been worried.

The $20 isn't the point. The point is that Apple is doing a terrible job with this.

How?

What I don't understand is why Apple or even someone within Apple (i.e. Tim Cooks), make an official statement of apology and then follow through saying we have a choice of purchasing/downloading Mountain Lion and getting credited for it or they say to wait for a certain period of time... I know people have called and gone to a Apple Store and were told to wait 48-72 hours but this is quite ridiculous.

I submitted my up-to-date thing less than 2 hours ago... I'm not expecting anything or anytime soon but I thought it would be good to just "get in line" and wait.

Having a real crappy experience thus far as a new Apple customer. Waited way too long for my Macbook to ship, arrived with a half-baked OS and now up to 50 odd hours of wait time for them to even acknowledge I have sent in a code and that they are processing it. Just force re-submitted the request and shall see what happens now. Apple really doesn't give two turds about their customers it seems.

Yeah but people need to understand that it's $19 we shouldn't have to spend at all because we already bought it with our new computers. I HATE wasting money more than anything. "A penny saved is a penny earned."

Got two emails from apple about a pdf or something, but i still havent received the "Get Mountain Lion" mail, what the hell ...... oh wait.

I made my first claim 48 hours ago and a second about 14, the reference number that came with the pdf was the one of the second claim so it would appear i waited 34 hours in vain.... my advice is to keep pushing that up-to-date site until you get the message saying that your serial number is already registered.
