My code works! I'm glad that it is at least downloading - albeit very slowly. The progress bar hasn't really budged in Mission Control. Is there anyway I can tell how long it will take to complete?

OMG thats so messed up! Why this macbook always goes to sleep and stopes the holds the download of Mountain Lion...
I only was watching the Olympics opening and its still an hour of waiting now, it should be already done though! btw thsi opening show is too much of it :p I luv the queen though, she is cool :D
okay mr. bean just came up haha hilarious

Form submitted: July 25 21:00 GMT
Email 1 - code: July 27 21:01 GMT
Email 2 - another code: July 27 21:22 GMT
Email 3 - encrypted PDF: July 27 21:33 GMT
Email 4 - yet another code: July 27 21:35 GMT
Email 5 - another encrypted PDF: July 27 21:35 GMT

The last code works on the last PDF, the others don't work at all. Can't exactly keep complaining now as it is finally downloading but... what a mess.

Like many others I am mostly annoyed by the lack of feedback:
1) No confirmation e-mail after submitting the web form
2) Given estimate of 24 hours largely exceeded, again no e-mail whatsoever informing that this might take longer
3) No apologies or explanation on the delay

For a company with above-average customer support this is a bit disappointing. I can appreciate the fact that things sometimes do go wrong but keeping customers in the dark is far, far worse.

I just got 8 emails from apple, so four different codes. I only put one application. Pretty funny :D

Yeah it was really worse think so too, hopefully they put a ML code in the box already when purchase in the future

Go to the App store and click on purchases. It will show the download status and time remaining there.

Go to the mac appstore and look under "purchased".

Ok so I am going to ask a silly question but I ended up with a number of different codes:

I redeemed one on my Retina and set that download going...

I redeemed the other on my Macbook Pro 2009.... and it started downloading...does that mean I am going to have it on both or will it fail on the install on the 13" Pro?

My understanding was that the "free" copy would only work on the new machines and you have to buy it for any other macs....

Received mine 44 hours later. I applied at 4:30 or so on July 25th. Will be trying the codes once I get home from work

My code works and I'm downloading. I accidentally put the password into the redemption code box and worried that I had been given an invalid code lol

I submitted my code request on the 25th around 9am. About a half hour ago I got tired of waiting and called Apple Customer Support. After waiting for two minutes, an "advisor" named Katrina answered. I gave her my claim reference number and my last name and she looked me up in the system and said my code had already been generated and sent to me via email.

I told her I never received it, and she immediately offered to resend it to me. I thanked her and asked her for a case number in case I never got the email, which she gave me even though she claimed the email would arrive "instantaneously."

And then I waited, and waited, and waited, and got nothing. So, I called Apple Support again where I was assigned to Justin this time. I told him what Katrina told me, but he said that "Katrina" didn't know what she was talking about and that it takes 72 hours for the codes to be generated and sent out, and mine was still generating so I would just have be patient and wait until tomorrow.

**** Justin.

Applied for the code at 12:00pm on the 25th- finally got to today at 1:40  but am pleased to announce I am running Mountain Lion :D

I'm downloading now, I left it earlier to download and caffeine was enable to not go to sleep but it canceled itself?

So now I'm re-downloading it, is there anyway to tell what percentage/download rate or is that little blue bar the only indication of how it's doing?

Was hoping it would be ready for me to install/use by the time I came back from the pub but nooooo :(

I finally received my code. I submitted my claim on the 25th of Wednesday around 8am Pacific time. I just checked my email a few minutes ago and they sent it the code to me around 11 am here. I can't wait to get off work to see if the code works!! I hope it does.. I'd be disappointed if it was already used, like a lot of members have experienced..

It took a little less than 24 hours to get my codes.

Shaunyac you can see the exact progress in the Purchased tab of the App Store.

I applied for a code on July 25th at about 9:00am and I received a (working) code on July 27th at 11:44am.

Mountain Lion took about 3 hours to download, even though I have a 100Mb connection (thank you, Apple servers...). I am now finally using ML.

I don't know what the hell you guys are talking about. I just got my computer in the mail, first thing I did was request code. Second thing I did was set up my email. The code was in the email already. It literally took about 10 seconds to get it (and it works).
