Finally got my code last night. Took about 48 hours to get my code. Haven't had the chance to test if it's working or not yet, but I'd assume that it is a working one.

Just received my code (48 hours after applying for it). App store says it's not recognised. Bloody great.

Thats probably the code to open the pdf that contains the real code lol

@Dragoro is correct. I made that simple error initially. Submitted my info Wednesday around 9 pm cst without proof of purchase upload. Received two emails today around 2 pm. Downloaded ML with no problems. Now trying to decide whether to do upgrade or fresh install.

I have some awesome news!

Earlier today I gave in and bought Mountain Lion because I was tired of waiting, then about 10 minutes later I got an email with my code! I was upset to say the least.

So I emailed the App Store team to ask for a refund and the senior advisor from iTunes customer support emailed me back and told me they have an "all sales are final" term, but made an exception with these circumstances and gave me the refund!

I must say Apple does have very good support.

After waiting for two days, I finally received some emails. 4 mails containing a password protected pdf file and two mails with a password. None of those passwords work with any of the pdf files.

This is totally ridiculous.

So the code I got today works. I just started downloading it and I predict that it will take a while...

One question, how can I see the amount of download time that is left?

Open app store, then look at puchased app section.

Finally got my copy of ML. What's strange is that Apple sent me two emails with two different passwords of opening the pdf, I used the most recently received one and that worked, didn't bother to try with the first email. I actually emailed Apple about 12 hours ago hoping it would expedite the process, don't know if it helped, but I'm happily downloading ML now :D

Oh man, it has been 52 hours since I submitted my claim application and I haven't heard from Apple yet. Finally got fed up of the service quality of Apple and shot an email to iTunes support. It is still acceptable if Apple is just plain inefficient. It is unacceptable when people who filed their claim yesterday got their codes within 24 hours, while others who submitted their claim more than 2 days ago are still waiting. Apple is not just inefficient, it either has a screwed up queue system or it is practicing discrimination towards some of their users.

Received my code along with an email from Apple iTunes support within 2 hours after relating my frustration to Apple support. Should have contacted support earlier to take my application out of the 'forgotten' tray.

Now happily downloading ML.

Less than 48 hours!

Installed this afternoon. Took about 30 minutes. Everything seems perfect! I am running Safari -- that Chrome Canary is a MESS on this machine. All the mac apps are beautiful. I am one happy customer.

I finally decided to enter my information again. I originally entered it around 10am Wednesday morning. First time failed Wednesday morning but the second attempt went through and I got the verification code. I never got any of the emails but decided to be patient. Tonight I decided to try to enter everything again and received no errors stating my serial number was already used. In fact immediately up submitting, Outlook chimes with 2 new emails from Apple. Unlock the PDF, grab the code, and I am currently downloading Mountain Lion. Some of the features had me close to just paying the 20 dollars and calling it a day but I am glad this worked out.
