All Devices Updated Apple Maps

Okay, this is interesting....I’ve got new road name data, but it’s not showing.

I think the Northeast update has been loaded, and Apple Maps is already drawing info from it. But it’s not actually showing yet, besides the traffic light data. Check this:

See how the route line doesn’t quite match up with the road as it’s drawn? TomTom’s data had always misdrawn the exact location of that u-turn lane. Apple Maps is now routing using the new map layer, but not showing it yet!

Maps is also announcing new road names, like using “Frontage Road”.

Unfortunately, I encountered two negatives. One, Maps is now mispronouncing the Van Wyck Expressway. Second, while exiting onto 69th Road (Sixty-ninth Road), Maps pronounced it “Sixty-nine Road”.

Neither negative nor positive, Maps has dropped the “and” from three digit numbered roads.

“One hundred fifty-first Street” instead of the old “One hundred and fifty-first Street”.

Look at those Highway shields!!!

We have the Look Around button also!!! But if you touch it, it says the imagery isn’t available yet. But maybe very soon?

Curious, is Siri pronouncing it "van wick" or "van why-ke"? because afaik, there are local disagreements on this point. I've always been a wick guy myself.

and if maps can get to saying "one-fifty-first" like a normal person would, then we'll really be getting somewhere

I'm still showing old on both phones...BUT...traffic lights are showing up when routing. Looks like wide release is indeed today!

I'm not seeing the new Maps yet either, but getting directions from Georgia to LaGuardia Airport shows the new Maps data when zooming in on the NYC area.

Here’s the coverage for Los Angeles area. Oddly enough...not getting the Look Around binoculars on my iPad yet. (But the new Northeast maps aren’t showing on my iPad yet either, so far it’s all my phone).

Using iOS Geek's trick, I was able to access Los Angeles and NYC. It also forced the NE map data to my phone!

Oddly enough...not getting the Look Around binoculars on my iPad yet. (But the new Northeast maps aren’t showing on my iPad yet either, so far it’s all my phone).

Go on your iPad, check out Look Around in the California Bay Area, Las Vegas, or Hawaii, and then zoom out to New York.

I’ll give that a shot! My iPad is updating to 13.1.2 at the moment. Maybe the reboot during install might force it, too!

I updated to 13.1.2 on my iPhone 11 earlier, and still had old Maps data. It wasn't until I tried your trick of zooming out with Look Around on that it forced the NE data to my phone. Now it's there.

Not that it was a big deal for me being in the Southeast, but this is the first time I've had the NE data.

force quit my maps and the new ones are showing up now for me, on all iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Was just going to try that trick and started zooming out so I could swipe over to the West coast quicker....and NE update was there already. Hah!

I didn't realize iOS 13.1.2 was released today. Downloading it now.

Gonna check later to see if this corrects any of my minor bugs with Apple Maps from the past week or so.

Also interesting, is that the sudden update to the new maps has negated some of the POI changes they had updated over the past week or so, and some old POIs have suddenly shown up again. Sending in corrections again.

I might agree with you, but the NE data was not there for me prior to doing it. I look forward to trying this again in the future, though it may only have worked since there was additional Look Around cities.
