What the holy hell. I was pre-approved, like normal, for the two phones I have on the iUP on Tuesday. I get through my first order fairly easily. For some reason I had to go copy my Apple Card number from the wallet, but w/e. I next go on to my partner’s phone, go through all the same steps and it tells me there is an issue with my card number...I had just pasted it in the previous order. I went back to the wallet and copied it again, just to be sure. It was kicked back again. After the third time, it came up with a message telling me I wasn’t approved for the iUP order…I was so confused. I have great credit and have been with the program for 3 years. I went back to “For you” page on the app and my pre-order was sitting there “Complete your pre-order.” I ran through it, used a different card, and it was completed with release day shipping. I don’t know why my Apple Card gave me an issue; I barely carry a balance. I can’t imagine it had anything to do with already having an iUP payment on it because I‘ve had both phones on my Apple Card this past year. Anyone have any ideas? Think it was just a glitch?
Outage. Happened to lots of Apple Card users just now trying to order on iUP.

Kinda forgot that between the ~$100 in tax, $54 upgrade payment, and $54 first month’a payment, not to mention the $30 carrier upgrade fee, this would be a pricier morning than the Apple website leads on. All worth it. 😆

That was an infuriating process. As others reported, Apple Card would not work, despite being my payment method for the upgrade program the last year. Also received the loan denied message at one point. At first, it wouldn’t take the second payment method. The “fill out the red areas” message kept appearing despite all red areas already filled in. After 20 minutes, it went through with the other payment method. Not really sure what the point is of the Apple Card if it can’t be used at the Apple Store.
Last year there were issues with the Apple card being used for monthly payments, I thought they got that resolved. I gave up and just used my Amex for that reason, didn’t want to risk another struggle and delivery date slipping.

Best I can tell the Apple Card issues are 1 of two things. Either you don’t have enough available credit on the card (you must have more available than the purchase price even if doing installments) or you have your billing address wrong.
Wasn’t either of those two for me which is why I was so confused why it kept saying there was an error.

Almost there

I’m in Canada.

ordered 2 iphones - blue was already showing Oct shipping date, so got 2 gold ones!

13 pro and pro max 1TB.

took a while to get payment to work - I guess they are overloading their visa machine :)

I had to use Apple Pay - regular card checkout was not working. So that’s gonna require a book keeping entry for my business but you do what you gotta do :)

LOL no, I have been doing this for a decade thank you, this is not my first rodeo. I was prequalified, checkout failed because of the Apple Card - like many in this thread. Obviously Apple or GS is having an issue.
I am not on the Apple upgrade program and I had absolutely no problem using my Apple credit card went right through immediately. And I paid the full amount for the phone no contract. iPhone 13 promax 256GB sierra blue

I had a fraud alert put on my credit and Citizens One called me to verify my identity when I went through the preapproval process so thought I’d be good to go. I got my order in but says my order is placed but my order is pending approval because of the fraud alert. This happen to anyone and anyone knows that once Citizens One calls to verify if I will be skipped to the back of the line? So frustrating

The deed is done. Also, those errors right at the start of the pre-order window were lame. But still, seems like delivery times are slipping fast at least for PM

Lost track of time multitasking and opened the app at 5 after. Went into my pre-order I started last night and completed it.

Got launch delivery for my first phone in 4 years. From an 8+ to 13 Pro Max 256gb, gonna take time getting used to the missing Touch ID and everything else I’ve been missing out. Now I can hunt for a case. Also looking forward taking lowlife pictures without immediately deleting them again.
There was an option to trade in my old phone but that would force me to switch to a more expensive plan, pretty much eliminating all the savings through credit so I passed on it.
Congrats. That is a major upgrade.

The swiping, instead of double tap the home button will be different. I still miss the touch ID from old phones, 8 Plus. But the screen size now, the camera is a huge upgrade by it itself..just the whole new look for you should feel amazing.

just FYI to those who ordered 128GB
