Side note but I purchased a G Pro X Superlight mouse the day before they announced the 2nd generation version with USB-C charging instead of the weird micro USB that gen 1 comes with. If I exchange for a 2nd generation mouse next week I will officially only need ONE cable to charge everything: phone, laptop, mouse, portable DAC, flashlight....

... Oh, except for my AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, and Apple Watch, those all still use lightning & proprietary apple watch connector ... DAMN IT APPLE

The solution would be full size MagSafe compatibility for Apple Watch and AirPods Max gen 2 because AirPods Pro is already MagSafe compatible. So USB-C for everything (including phone and laptop) and MagSafe for everything Apple accessory related? 🤔 Apple needs to do this!

I just ordered this one, I needed a new one and the extra USB C outlets was what sold me, I have two Apple Watches plus my Mini iPad I keep on my night stand.
I didn't even know they made 8 in 1 stands! I have no self-control and made my partner buy me the Anker 3 in 1 MagSafe cube for my belated birthday. 😆

omg, I ran to the penny press machines near Splash Mountain to get the pressed pennies on the last day they were available- those machines take way too much force to actually work
My pressed coins expert knows techs that deal with the machines. I’ll send him the info.

Hi @swarlos
Maybe you have some perspective on this one.
I’ve been on iUP for several years now. For the first time, I’ve had my device shipped to my local store as opposed to my home. Do you know if it’s possible to pickup my device in-store without having to turn in my current (old) device on the spot? Ideally, I want to pick up new, return home, navigate the data transfer and then send my old device back to Apple. Possible?

Thanks!

I’ve heard three conflicting stores for “yep, totally possible” to “I’d have to relinquish the old phone in order to get the new phone” reports when I’ve spoken with Apple support the last couple days.

If I recall correctly you have 14 days to send the phone off but that also delays the closure of the loan on that phone so the earlier the better. While working there I never handled any iUP transactions unfortunately.

Unless you chose the option to mail off the old phone then you would have to relinquish the phone at the store. You can sit at the setup table and do your thang.

It’s already been over a year and a half since I had any customer facing interactions there LOL as I moved to an operations specialist cause I didn’t want to deal with customers anymore . I’d just double check with the store when you get there.

Seems like I may have had this issue last year, but I almost always have my iphone held at a UPS CC for pickup. I’m in the first wave. I have a current, paid, (unexpired) MyChoice account, but the only option that I have at the moment is to redirect my phone to a neighbor (not doing that). Does the option to hold at a UPS CC typically appear after the device leaves China?

Sorry if this was answered earlier, but I’m behind in the thread.

Yes. The reason why it’s greyed out is because it’s still in China. International laws are different. They are in control right now. The U.S. isn’t. (Until it passes customs for clearance) Once it makes it to the States it gets lifted and more options become available. Better to wait until you are in Alaska or Kentucky at least.

Even if you call UPS. They would advice you to call UPS International Customer Service. Agents in the US can’t do anything with the packages because of the International authorization hasn’t been passed.

Dang just noticed tracking for the phone also in my UPS. He’s just chillin in ZhengZhou
My iPhone tracking hasn’t shown up yet. But funny story… I was using my order number to try to get tracking info. From UPS and I accidentally left off the “W”. UPS said that order was delivered to me in April! It was for 3 cases of wine from our tip to Spain in the spring!!! Exact same numbers!!! LOL!

Is there a way to lookup a reference number for my local Apple Store since I'm doing store pickup? lol.

I'm guessing it would have to be for one of their warehouses anyway

someone posted that Apple and UPS made it so that UPS CC was no longer an option when they reached out? Not sure but id wait till you get the import scan.
