I think you'll be fine. Just don't use cinematic mode when recording video.

At least now you can get a Thunderbolt 4 cable and go direct to storage or a Mac, if you really need the room.

I've bought several iPhones with 512GB (including this year's), but I haven't really come close to needing it. Just being a little paranoid on my part, I guess.

Nope. As long as your status of the order says Ready for Pick Up, you can pick it up any time. I was early for my pick up window last year and it wasn’t an issue. Can’t imagine it be an issue if you’re going after your window.
