Ayeee!!
Thread should be at 15K posts by Friday! Even more if “After Hours” becomes a staple 🤣
Agreed! But the iPhone 12 Pro was one of the worst launches ever because they launched the iPhone Pro models later in months. We had to wait until November. It was terrible! 🤯😖This is always the longest week of the year...from ordering on Friday to picking up a week later.
I got mine from att though sadly and not a single update on ups or fedex. Just says we are ready to ship your order. But expected 9/22 with expected ship date of 9/21.There are so many of us in ColoRADo. Hopefully we all leave WorldPort together tomorrow
It's in Louisville, KY. UPS Scans are delayed.I will definitely let you know what UPS posts for tracking. I just am not sure if it's in KY or still in Incheon.
Interesting. I've never noticed anyone in the UK saying that. Here we consider Apple a single company so it uses has. Even if the company had been named "Apples" we would still say "Apples has". I just googled and the phenomenon you're referring to is a "collective noun". Like a flock of birds. So the "the flock have perched for the night" vs "the flock has perched for the night". So I learned something today.I always find it mildly interesting how in review videos, Americans seem to refer to Apple as a singular noun (“Apple has added a 5x telephoto camera”) while reviewers in the UK refer to Apple as a plural noun (“Apple have added a 5x telephoto camera”). Anyone else notice this?
I’ll take Britney over any of these disingenuous modern day “artists”.I also enjoy a little T Swizz
Do a giant sign like they did in Clerks but to the front of your home that says "I assure you, I'm home"New plan for me... going to leave my garage door open with my car in the garage... no way they can assume I'm not home.
🤦♀️ @lazyrighteye do me a favor and just block out the entire month of September on your current phone right now.Your partner sounds legit. I love that they are waiting! Seriously. Well done team!!
I, like most here, can relate to that quietly conflicted feeling of meeting any obligation on THE BIGGEST DAY OF THE FRIGGIN' YEAR! I stated taking Friday's off work, off everything, just to savor that whole day. I mean, I can have one day. 🤪
So what I've not yet shared here (mainly because it is too painful), is that I'm a Friday in-store pickup guy. I have a 1:15 pm pickup appointment set. That is not the painful part - though it isn't without some pain (and I use that word ever so lightly). This represents my first, and only, time I will ever opt for in-store pick-up. I did so thinking I was so smart. Since I'm the last stop on my UPS delivery driver's route, I tend to get my phones anywhere from 6-9 pm on Friday. Last year, the driver simple ran out of time on Friday, and when I called they said he'd reattempt the nest day. WTF?? The next day came and went. No attempted delivery. Long, frustrating story not as long, I ended up getting my laugh day device Monday. Super annoying. anyway, I thought I'd avoid all of that malarkey and opt for in-store pickup.
I'm part of iUP. What I didn't know when I uncharacteristically selected in-store pickup, was that I'd have to relinquish my 14 Pro in order to walk out with my 15 Pro. Not sure what the issue would be. I am technically still paying for the 14 Pro. So it's not like I'm pulling a "fast one" on anyone. I would think I could just request a return box from Apple, just liek we receive for in-home iUP swaps, and be good. But that does to sound like the case. Sounds like Apple will inspect the old phone on the spot, and then close that account right then and there. Had I known that, I would have stuck with in-home delivery. I like to take my time with the config of the new device, to ensure everything ported over properly (that can often take more time than an in-store scenario affords). Additionally, and more importantly, I really enjoy having both devices for a few days. I like comparing/contrasting every aspect of each device. It's a harmless, super nerdy thing I really enjoy. Anyway, the decision to select in-store pickup was an audible I called in the heat of the melee that was the online ordering fiasco. I was rattled. Mistakes were made. 😂
Complicating matters further, I'm a moron. I completely spaced that we are joining another family on an unusually late in the season (for us) camping trip this weekend. We leave Friday morning. So my scheduled 1:15 pm in-store pickup appointment on Friday is now moot. Ish (more in a sec). As it stands, the earliest I can get my 15 Pro is Monday. You better believe I will be first in line!
But... I do have a couple of options. Maybe.
Opt. #1) This is where my 1:15 pm pickup appointment may still be of value. I can designate a friend to attend that appointment for me. While I have not done that before, I do understand it's possible. Now, what I'm not sure about is how my iUP status affects that in-store pickup scenario. What I would liek to se is my designated stand-in can pickup my 15 Pro and I can pick it up from him Sunday eve. Inthat scenario, I wold need to be able to request a return box from Apple and handle th swap as I have every time prior. But I'm not at all confident that is an option. After sending this, I'll be calling Apple to learn more. 🤞
Plan #2) In case the guest in-store pickup scenario can't work due to my iUP status, my second option is to hustle and get back to Denver in time to swing by and pick-up my device in-person. This still involves the hurried in-store config aspect I do to like/want, but it would mean I have my new device earlier. Talk about a motivated camp site packer upper. By the time the kids wake Sunday morning, all that we'd need to do is close up the pop-up camper. The rest I'd have packed. "Good morning kids. Get in the car. We'll get breakfast on the road." 😂
From the online ordering process to these crazy scenarios I just laid out, what a goofy iPhone upgrade year this has been for me. And to be clear: I am not complaining about a worst-case scenario of getting my 15 Pro on Monday the 25th. Just sharin' in the groove. 😜
Unsolicited advice from me. You may not want to pick a phone over your family. Spend the weekend with the family and get the phone Monday. In the end a phone is just a thing. Your family is not.Your partner sounds legit. I love that they are waiting! Seriously. Well done team!!

My iPhone has a label for ups finally in mychoice!! Woohoo I can follow along again!! Must have been in the states the entire time. Check your regular 15s to see if you have shipping info now
Same hereSo here is the update. As of now, UPS My Choice is still showing 6:22pm in ZZ. I decided to download Aftership and it's showing I cleared Customs in Louisville yesterday and today delayed due to weather in Incheon.
Awesome! I am relieved that it's stateside. The UPS scans will show its crazy journey. It's in Louisville, KY. UPS Scans are delayed.
Looks like you ordered from Verizon. This thread is for apple.com orders. I believe the folks who ordered directly from Verizon have their own tracking thread, where your tracking will match up more with theirs. Carriers have a whole different logistics pattern in getting phones to their customers than ordering directly from Apple.
Do you currently have iPhone 14? I want to get my hands on that Satellite comms ASAP in case I need it. Never know when it could come in handy, and since you camp, you are 100% more outdoorsy then me haha.We leave Friday morning
yeah... last time my garage was left open accidentally, we lost two bikes, a lawn mower, a string trimmer, pretty much everything that wasn't bolted down!New plan for me... going to leave my garage door open with my car in the garage... no way they can assume I'm not home.
And then we were all stressing over how it would affect iUP the following year.Agreed! But the iPhone 12 Pro was one of the worst launches ever because they launched the iPhone Pro models later in months. We had to wait until November. It was terrible! 🤯😖

iPhone 12 Announcement, Pre-Order, and Actual Release Date Expectations
While Apple has launched its new iPhone lineups annually in September for many years now, the timing is a little different in 2020 thanks to...www.macrumors.com
Yes sir. It will that's why I'm humbly requesting you to submit it. All the crazy scanning errors will populate. Due to FAA rules and regulations, UPS is required to report them to the consumers.Awesome! I am relieved that it's stateside. The UPS scans will show its crazy journey.
My hubs picked the same case. Haven't opened the box to see what it looks like in real life yet, but your photos are awesome.Out of all the Apple cases this year, this is the one I am running with on day 1. Looks killer with the saddle brown MagSafe wallet until Target gets me my Umber case for this Friday lol
Might add Clay later, never finewoven.
Gonna look lovely with the natty titanium
The world was in mess that year and the fact that iPhone could be released was a huge achievement on Apple's part.Agreed! But the iPhone 12 Pro was one of the worst launches ever because they launched the iPhone Pro models later in months. We had to wait until November. It was terrible! 🤯😖

Facts! Very scary times. The world was in mess that year and the fact that iPhone could be released was a huge achievement on Apple's part.
Who says this forum isn’t educational 🧐Interesting. I've never noticed anyone in the UK saying that. Here we consider Apple a single company so it uses has. Even if the company had been names "Apples" we would still say "Apple has". I just googled and the phenomenon uyou're referring to is a "collective noun". Like a flock of birds. So the "the flock have perched for the night" vs "the flock has perched for the night". So I learned something today.
hang in there!Nothing here yet.
