How did you contact Apple to request it? I tried chat, who couldn't help and told me to call, and when I called the representative said they weren't allowing holds this year. I'd like to be able to get mine and get it all setup tomorrow, as my UPS driver makes it a point to drive past my house half a dozen times then show up at 8 PM.
I went to the support site and picked billing issue or just any of the topics to allow the chat button to show up, then it automatically opens up a iMessage to talk to support. Rep knew right away and asked for the order number. Just got an email from Apple too that says it was successful and even lists the UPS CC address where it’s being held.

Was in Milano today. The Apple Store there looks really nice. It’s a bit like NYC…

I saw at least 5(!) persons which bought an 14/P/PM today. Kinda crazy. Now back to Munich to pickup my 15P tomorrow.

Beautiful. Is it just me or does the entrance look like a sculpture to you too?

I've never bothered to learn about different wattages/voltages when it comes to charging, so this is a really dumb question:

Can I use my iPad Mini 6 20W USB-C charger on my iPhone 15 Pro Max without any detriment?
You can use a 150 watt charger, it doesn't matter because the phone will only take from the charger the max it can take, which is 27 watts. You generally don't want to use a charger that has LESS wattage than your device can handle, as it will charge slower (unless you are, ahem, like some on this thread devoted to their slow 5 watt chargers).

In my area it's Fedex that are the garbage ones and the UPS drivers I have are always pretty reliable. Plus there's going to be four adults, a toddler, and a giant doofus dog here to sign for the package when it comes.
Same here. FedEx does the "last mile" with contractors, and when the Steam Deck was released, OMG the thefts were rampant. I was lucky mine arrived fine though. :)

The more I think about this the more it makes sense there’s no way logistically us forgotten souls will get our phones tomorrow. Still have to land in ALASKA then to lville then our final destinations by tomorrow am! No chance. I bet Monday or weds unless they cut out the lville stop?
Sure there is, so don’t lose hope!. My company can pickup a package in China, sort it, put onto a direct flight that goes straight to Memphis to our World Hub without stopping in Anchorage (or possibly our Indy hub), sort it, send it out on a flight and delivered in NYC by 1030am the next day all under 24hrs!

There’s planes now that can skip Anchorage and also people forget that China is a day ahead as well, so this is possible because of the International dateline. Essentially going back in time lol

And Yes, UPS does this exact same thing.

Now there are factors that COULD change this, mostly how late the plane departs from China hub and available pilots that has the hours to fly
