I just realized. If I updated to 17.0.1 and I backup my phone, I won't be able to restore my new iPhone on 17.0 tomorrow right?

Yeah I am not doing. The 17.0.1 update for that very reason! Just backed up my phone as well. Probably do one more in the morning but I am readddddyyy.

I was an October 9th-16th ETA and delivering tomorrow. Still crazy how apparently a bunch of us in that original ETA group got bumped to launch day.

Better to under promise and over deliver than to over promise and under deliver.

Why would I have a departure scan though - That is usually the sign of getting on a plane, right?

The chat rep said that he processed the hold for delivery pick up request, but said that my order might be delayed if something happened, now I’m worried haha. But I told him it was fine 🙈

I got this scan too! I'm on the other side of the state but we're moving!

Other side of Illinois or another state. If Illinois there usually is a truck (semi) hauling a load that goes up through Indianapolis then through Danville Illinois (passing my town 30 miles further on. Then it goes to Decatur Illinois hub for a few hours but buy tomorrow morning it is back here at my local hub ready to be loaded in the truck.

Yep, loads of us have gotten that update. Not sure what changed internally with UPS's system to push that out.

Also not to double reply but I'm pretty sure alot of this theft comes from others that are part of the shipping process rather than by the driver themselves. Thats why I'm going to be right there at the door. In fact I might make them stand there while I open it lol
