So Calif
Those with TMobile, when preordering the phone on Apple store, what is the advantage with selecting T-Mobile vs unlocked (paying full price)?

If one buys an unlocked phone, can you just take the SIM card out of your old T-Mobile iPhone and out it in the unlocked one and be done? Or is there more to it? TIA
Yes, I am on T-Mobile.
So I am doing 2 iPhone pre-orders:

1. Apple store - pre-approved for an iPhone 11 64GB in yellow - it comes unlocked without a SIM = I transfer my current SIM from my 7+ to the 11. I pay Apple sales tax & first month and the balance thru Citizen's Bank $29.12 per month for 23 months. Since this phone is unlocked, I can use International SIM cards when I travel.

2. T Mobile store - $350 off my iPhone 7+ trade in for an iPhone 11 in red (my son) - locked to T Mobile under EIP contract (24 months)- figuring around $15/month for 24 months using bill credits.... This phone will be locked so I will not be able to swap SIM cards, but can still use their free global data & text where ever I go.

T-Mo hasn’t spilled the exact trade-in values or eligible devices quite yet, but it does say that customers can trade in an iPhone 7 and get half off an iPhone 11 or trade in an iPhone XS Max and get half off the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

I have JOD. Down payments are less than last year but montly payment is much higer. Last year I got the 64gb xs Max. I think put $349 down and pay $22/month. Going from the 11 Pro Max 64 gb this year. Not sure what super well-qualified is..

Here is what T-Mobile just sent me for JOD Pricing via Twitter.
For Super Well-Qualified...

iPhone 11 64GB$0 down$29.17 monthly

Phone 11 128GB$0 down $31.67 monthly

iPhone 11 256GB$75.99 down $31 monthly

iPhone 11 Pro 64GB$117.99 down $31 monthly

iPhone 11 Pro 256GB$213.99 down $36 monthly

iPhone 11 Pro 512GB$305.99 down $39 monthly

iPhone 11 Pro Max 64GB$181.99 down $36 monthly

iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB$259.99 down $38 monthly

iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB$369.99 down $40 monthly
[doublepost=1568307832][/doublepost]Has anyone heard about Apple Watch Series 5 prices and payment options?

FYI, if you have a 7+, they're offering the same amount ($350) as the 7 for trade-in but still better than Apple.

T-Mobile support also saying that it's $350 for the X as well.

My question though is what is "Super Well-Qualified"? Last year I had to put down $450 for my XS Max 64 GB. I have excellent credit and I'd been with T-Mobile for several years. I tried last year to get a solid answer but it never happened.
If those numbers hold true for me then maybe I'll lease again otherwise I'm getting off the lease train. Still undecided.

Here is what I got for well qualified customers:

iPhone 11 64gb - $0 down, $29.17/mo

iPhone 11 Pro 64gb - $117.99 down, $31/mo

iPhone 11 Pro Max 64gb - $181.99 down, $36/mo

iPhone 11 Pro Max 256gb - $259.99 down, $38/mo

Very interesting with jod down payments. I’m worried to be honest that they’ll simply hike up the down payment for a lot of us on Jod. We have a well paid off, small business account of 6 people for 2.5 yrs and managed to get a 400-500 something down payment last year for upgrades on the 256gb of the max phones. Very frustrating as lower down payments would make this upgrade enticing. Not paying nearly 500 down to upgrade from last years phones this time.

I'm on a Simple Choice plan with 5 other people. My phone is completely paid off (completed the jump on demand lease and it shows as Completed), all I'm paying at this point is my share of the data. However, when I put in my info to get pre-approved through Apple and it does it's Confirm Carrier process, it's telling me I have a balance on the T-Mobile account......

It says "You can still purchase this iPhone. Please note you have a balance with T-Mobile. To pay your balance, contact T-Mobile or visit an Apple Store."

Any ideas? I'm trying to reach T-Mobile support, but going on 50 minutes without a response yet.

And our account as a whole shows $0, no payment due at this time.

was thinking that too, but the new T-Mobile doesn't have support after 11PM. I scheduled a call back yesterday for 5am tomorrow to call me so i can get my pre-order in.

Got a reply. They agree, my account looks good, so I should be good to go once I receive the phone. Fingers crossed!

Looks nicer this time from T-Mobile offering $0 down on the iPhone 11 EIP or JOD !!
I'll be looking forward to the $350 discount on my 3 year old iPhone 7+ - almost twice that of Apple's trade in !

Great compilation of numbers ! Thanks @nateatlarge

Do the trade in at the Apple store and buy the phone outright. No payments or hassle.
Um nope - Apple gives $200 for my iPhone7 while T Mobile gives $350....

Why do that - trade in at T Mobile and get $350 instead of sub $150 from anywhere else...
Just have to pay 24 months of about $15 / month for EIP.

I wish I could just pay the other half and be done but to get the $350 discount on the 11, I have to enroll for 24 months..

My XS is paid half. So I'm elegible for Jump (not on demand) as I'm on EIP plan. So if I trade in my current iPhone XS I guess the discount goes toward to pay off my phone and get the new one with 24 month plan?
