Oh, oh. This is sounding like my order. After 3 go arounds with Verizon (and 2 weeks of time) we could not get them to tell us why the CC for the $35 charge failed. They kept kicking us up to different departments in Verizon and then to our bank, Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo said it looked good. After 2 reorders and the same failure, we finally ended up ordered direct from Apple, per @StaceyMJ86, where the same CC worked the first time for the entire price of the phone. There is some sort of corner case in Verizon's system that reject perfectly valid CCs.
By chance did you use Apple Pay as your form of payment? Mine and another persons failed/declined when using Apple Pay
 
my family and i ordered our phones at verizon in-store on sept 17th, and we ordered the following:
- 2x 14 pro max, 256 GB in purple
- 14 pro max, 128 GB in purple
- 14 pro, 128 GB in purple

ship date says Oct 14th so I'm kinda hoping i hear some sort of update this week

Got shipping information today 10/3 for my base Silver Pro Max. My order was a preorder launch day order and was estimated to be a 9/30 delivery.

Tracking is not functional yet, however I estimate it will arrive 9/5.

I’m sorry that happened, but I’m glad you found a solution. Ordering from Apple has erased the headache I used to get when I preordered with a carrier.
I really appreciate your wise advice on this subject. From now on I will order phones directly rather than through the carrier. No use having an unnecessary party involved.

Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow and my son likely will already be at work when it arrives- And my husband will be traveling for work (he just started a work at home/traveling position).

Did the signature release- I only work 2 blocks from home- so I’ll stalk the tracking and come home quick to pick it up if it comes after my son leaves for work. Tracking says between 12:30-3:00- son leaves by noon for work- and I work until 4:00.

did you notice anything change in your Verizon account at all prior to shipping? i just want to take notice of anything in case my order ships out (which im hoping is soon).

On Saturday Verizon updated my order as shipped, and gave a tracking number (before that- just kept saying estimated shipping was Sept 23) UPS Choice showed on Sunday that it was going to pick up today- and there wasn’t anything on tracking other than label was created and ready to pick up . UPS and is now showing they picked up- and tracking is showing for tomorrow.
 
Is there any way to track the return status of my old device other than the tracking number? Verizon received it last week according to the tracking number but I haven’t heard anything yet from them.

You’re welcome. I will say that once Apple give you your delivery date on pre-order day, you are 99.9% going to get your device on that day. They are pretty great with that.
 
I would suggest to reach out to Verizon via Twitter and see if they have any details regarding your return device. They respond faster via Twitter, if you don’t want to talk on the phone to a rep.
 
Well, we'll see if the phone comes today or not. UPS is saying Preparing for Delivery. It is at the correct UPS location, and typically I see Out for Delivery statuses by 8:00 am, it is now 9:40, and still says Preparing for Delivery. Hopefully they are just running behind, and Out for Delivery will show up soon, or it missed a scan loading into the truck for delivery and still gets delivered today. Tracking still says delivery today by 7:00 pm though.

Once I get the phone in my hands I will cancel my other order with a delivery date of Oct 29.

Anyone know the process for getting this new phone on my Verizon account? Do I need to go into a store or can I do it online? I just want to do a direct swap with my Samsung S10+. No plan changes.

I added my 14 Pro Max to my account online. I just had to talk to a rep to fully activate the eSim that the store employees couldn’t do.

I've been on the fence about upgrading my 12 Pro Max 256GB to 14 Pro Max or 14 Pro through Verizon. The 14 Pro 128GB has been sitting in my cart for days. It clearly shows I would get $800 for the trade-in divided over 36 months, which makes the monthly payment $5.52

Well, now the $800 is no longer available and only $389. I had no idea the $800 offer would end. I was thinking Verizon would keep this deal for a long time.

Maybe it's a website malfunction? I'm definitely not upgrading through Verizon if all I get is $389. Verizon just took away the best incentive I had to upgrade.

In the past, when Verizon ends a deal, do they offer a new deal?

I just looked at Verizon’s website for shop for new phone- and it’s showing $800 trade in there
 
That’s why I never go to the store. They no idea what they’re doing.

Normally I don’t, but I couldn’t get the eSim from my 12 Pro Max to transfer over to my 14 Pro Max, and I was so frustrated not having any service for several hours. Luckily the rep on the phone was able to sort it out within 30 minutes and I haven’t had any problems since then.

Have you tried clearing your cart and starting a trade in again, to see if it reappears?
