Exactly! If you are going to pay in full anyhow, you might as well do the promo, and then pay it off when you want to leave or trade in.You can just pay it off early. I’m not hung up on 36 months since I eventually trade it in mid cycle or pay it off early.
Still wondering if Verizon will offer the 1TB 15PM like they did for the 14PM?
I'm pretty sure you have the most expensive tier on your cellular plan which somewhat brainwashes people into thinking they're getting a deal but yet there paying it in there monthly bill.I don’t get hung up on the whole 36 month issue. They are offering me $800 for my iPhone 13 which I paid $800 for. If I trade it in after 2 years and lose my remaining trade in credits I’m out around $160, which means they gave me $640 for my iPhone 13. Tell me where I can trade it in for that much?
If you try to upgrade early, the $800 credit will be removed and you will have to pay the remaining amount. So if you pay 10$ for 24 months, you would have put down a total of $240 on the iphone 15.I don’t get hung up on the whole 36 month issue. Saw that too. The Apple Store App still shows up to $800 and the $1000 is for the 128gb iPhone 15 Pro only if I read that correctly and is for new lines only.Verizon's website has been updated to show a $1,000 credit toward an iPhone 15 Pro (the 36 months still applies), but only if you are on the "Unlimited Ultimate" plan. I wonder what happens if you're not on that particular plan? I have a feeling that pre-orders are not going to go well on Friday.
I am not on the most expensive plan, I am on 5G play more and it is $40 per month per device. One I pay off my phone I still pay $40 per month. Might as well let Verizon fund most of my new phone purchase.I'm pretty sure you have the most expensive tier on your cellular plan which somewhat brainwashes people into thinking they're getting a deal but yet there paying it in there monthly bill.
Thanks--I didn't read it that way initially. This is just ridiculously complicated. I think I'll just going to sell my current phone to Gazelle and buy a new one so I don't have to deal with all of these rules going forward.$999.99 (128 GB only) device payment or full retail purchase w/new smartphone line on Unlimited Ultimate plan req'd. Less $1,000 trade-in/promo credit applied over 36 mos.; promo credit ends if eligibility req’s are no longer met; 0% APR. Excludes phones with activation lock turned on, unidentifiable device model or on Lost/Stolen list.
Depends on your plan. From what shows on Apple's site, all the 5G plans they just nerfed (Play More, Do More, and Get More) other than the 5G Start will qualify for the higher trade in. For me that means I can keep my Play More package to get $800 for a phone that originally sold for $800. Since I am happy with my plan and it would cost me more to move to the new equal "Perks" version, it works perfectly. My husband was on the cheaper Start plan so we dropped him to the new Unlimited Welcome plan and he gets $400 trade in.If I am on the old "The new Verizon Plan Unlimited" will I be able to do the trade in bonuses or would I be required to change my plan?
It's "The new Verizon Plan Unlimited" it's an older plan but great pricing for my family. If I change it'll be I believe $40 more a month. I can just sell my phone separately.Depends on your plan. In your Verizon account what Plan does it list for your specific line? My guess is if none of the plan titles posted here show up you will have to change your plan or pay full price for your phone.
After speaking to Verizon, it would cost me $7 more a month to move from the 5G Do More plan to the Unlimited Plus in order to be eligible for the Verizon $830 promo after trade in for the costing customers. That lessens the appeal of going through Verizon for the purchase. Over the course of 3 years that’s $250 in additional fees. It is still a savings but not as good as it seems at first glance.
I try to do test run on iphone 14 pro max, when I get to the part where they ask to upgrade to new plan to get max credit, i chose to keep current plan option, the credit drop back to $700. I think it is still pretty good since i can still keep play more unlimited with Apple music and Disney bundle for $40.I just called Verizon and the rep told me they didn't have any information yet and to call back tomorrow. I was calling to ask if my old "Play More Unlimited" (no 5G in the name so it's the previous variant) would qualify for the trade-in promo. If we need to upgrade to the new plans, it will cost us more for sure since we use Apple Music and the Disney/Hulu bundle which is no longer included.
Ah shoot, I’m on the Play More Unlimited plan too, with the waived $10 fee for Ultra Wideband. This may void me from being eligible for the trade in promotion. Yeah, I actually have the Get More Unlimited and my wife has the Play More Unlimited. Either way, to match what we have and use now (including Apple Music, Disney/Hulu bundle, etc.), we'd both have to upgrade to the new Unlimited Plus plans and then add Apple Music and Disney/Hulu bundle separately which would cost around $14/mo more total. Not the end of the world, but between that and the trade-in credits being spread out over 36 months, it's not really a very good deal for us to trade-in through Verizon.Ah shoot, I’m on the Play More Unlimited plan too, with the waived $10 fee for Ultra Wideband. Because they can… It is not a consumer friendly tactic and they don’t care. And why do we lose the monthly trade-in credits if we continue to be Verizon customers but upgrade our phones again after 1-2 years? That's the part I don't get. I could understand losing the credits if we leave Verizon. But losing the monthly credits because we upgraded??
