Which iPhone 15 variant will you be pre-ordering?

I see I can order from apple.com but take advantage of the Verizon trade in program (Upfront discount plus bill credits). My question is, does the trade-in go through Verizon or Apple? I have always ordered from Verizon in the past and traded in my phones to them with the supplied return shipping box. If I order from Apple will that be the same?

If you buy a Verizon phone through Apple does it still come locked for the 60 days or is it unlocked?
Verizon loves to lock their phones for 60 days :(

Wow, I'm surprised at the poll results and how many people are going for the Max. I've legit met like 2 Max owners in real life. Why not just carry around an iPad if you want something that big?? No way in hell I would want to carry that around or put it in my pocket.

I have both a Mini 6 and a 14PM and for phones I will always choose the Pro Max, as long as Apple launch one every year. The phone isn’t as big or heavy as people make it out to be.

Does anyone have update on Play more unlimited ? wii it be qualified for 15 upgrade for $830 ?

Need advice on how to upgrade to a iPhone 15 Pro. I’m on Verizon with only 12 months into my 36 month payment plan on my iPhone 14.

The options Verizon has are:

Pay off your device's remaining balance of $764. This will make this device eligible for trade-in.

Pay $214 and return your device.
You'll pay 50% of device's balance and return it in good condition.

What’s the best option? What about via Apple directly?

I don’t think you get the trade in credit if only 50% is paid off but I could be wrong. Does anybody know for sure?

Has anyone had issues with shipping to a different address than your standard billing address? I’m considering getting it shipped to work to avoid the fuss around the signature issues/Verizon’s shipping restrictions, but I’d hate to get a cancellation. For some reason, I vaguely recall folks having issues in years past.

Going to be interesting for me at 5am tomorrow, I have to preorder my spouses 15 Pro. My mom needs to be put on are account so I’m adding a line to are account for my mom, then ordering the 15 Pro Max for myself and giving my mom my 14 Pro Max. Hope it goes smooth….

good luck everyone on getting what you want.

The Verizon pre-order thread does not seem (to me) to be nearly as busy as past years. I’m wondering if that is an indication of less demand for the iPhone 15. I know the only reason I am upgrading is because I mistakenly went down to the standard iPhone 13 size 2 years ago, want to go back to the big screen.

Does anyone know if the iPhone 12 trade in is $830? I am already in the unlimited plus plan

I know apple site shows it but VZ I can’t find it

When upgrading 2 lines through Verizon’s site, do you have to place two separate orders or can you add both to cart and process at once?

Also, what have people found better, App or desktop site for preorder?

So, I owe money on my Verizon 14 Pro max, obviously I plan on paying that off, but I am not planning on paying off the remaining balance and trading the phone in. Will this cause issues during the ordering process?

I have always ordered through the Verizon app. This will be my first time upgrading two lines at the same time so it should be an experience.

Already did the phone swaps on the affected lines so that the phones trading in are tied to the right line to reduce issues for tomorrow.

You should be given the option to pay up to 50% to do a trade-in upgrade or to pay off the full balance and keep the 14 during the checkout/upgrade process.

For those who have done upgrade on the ordering day in the years past, what's the experience like? I'm trying to go through Verizon app now and just seem like so many steps to go through to even do 1 line. I think by the time I go through on Friday it will be weeks of wait. Any short cut we can do in preparation?

Yes compared to T-Mobile and AT&T, Verizon lately has the worst deals. The whole 36 month payment plan don’t sit well with me. I’m going to continue to pay outright and trade in my iPhone to Apple. It sucks that my 512GB Pro Max is only getting $650 for my trade in. I’m undecided on what color to choose. I really wanted Gold this year.
Doesn’t matter the storage. Even 1T gets $650. That’s where they are getting more money this year by forcing those who want the pro max to get 256GB, and giving less money for the trade in’s.

For me, it's always been seamless and I've been able to secure a release day shipment. I've done both app and website with no issues. There are a lot of upgrade options, agreements to click through, and insurances to turn down, but it goes pretty quickly. Sometimes the app will open up access a minute or so early, but I haven't really found that to be a make-or-break difference.

I believe some people have had issues with their orders due to using Apple Pay in the app, so I would stay away from that though.

Thanks, have you done multiple lines? I need to upgrade 2 lines, one for Pro Max and one for Pro. Wonder which one I should do first.

I've had Verizon forever but I don't want a 3 year plan so probably will move to another carrier. I'm sure I won't be the only one but probably many won't realize it is going to 3 years. I think a big mistake but I think AT&T is also 3 year now

Technically, it's not a 3 year plan. It's bill credits on a trade-in for 3 years. There is no such thing as contracts anymore.

In reality, most people upgrade every 2 years on average (some sooner, some later). So your bill credits will stop after 2 years if you upgrade at that point. So the $830 trade-in credit is only worth $553 if you upgrade after 2 years and $277 if you upgrade after 1 year.

I'm so glad the other forum members were able to point out that it's 3-years of bill credits, but I can pay it off at any time (and forfeit remaining credits) and there's no contract at all. I did a dummy order for a 15 Pro, and I would be getting $6 a month in credits over those 3-years. If I were to upgrade after 2-years, then the remaining balance is about $72 to pay off the phone. I'm in no hurry to upgrade, so hopefully the offer is still around during Thanksgiving. I have a son at college, and would prefer to do everything in store instead of shipping back a trade in from his location.
