Go to your iPhone's settings --> Privacy --> Photos --> and there, make sure Viber is enabled.

I m from germany nd use viber now for a long time without any problems. But For 2 days now after the last viber update i hv problems with this app.
It is really slow, it takes longer thn one min to start the app, while writing a message it freezes for several sec, sending a message take smetimes longer thn 10 sec.

I m using iphone 4 ios 6.
As i need the app nd use it really often i hope u can help to fix the problem.

it's actually an iPod, which does not have a Privacy option. Sorry if I was not able to provide this info initially.

Oh... you specifically mentioned an iPhone 5 in your original message.

Unfortunately Viber does not officially support iPods, and this may be the source of the problem here :(
 
Wrong profile photo - Viber OSX

I took my photo on my iPhone Viber and added it to my Viber profile. However on my Mac version of Viber, I see my name in the Viber contact list but with some stranger's photo! I have restarted my Mac several times but it is always there. I checked on my son's mobile Viber and my photo is correct in his list of Viber contacts. So the problem is only on my Mac - I think. Ideas? Help? Thanks...
 
sending message to user viber

I can't find the place where i can send a message to a user, so I post my question here.
Since 3 months I am using Viber and until now the speak quality is very poor.
WHen I make connection with the same person (same situtation) over skype, the connection is perfect. (even if I hate skype.)

Today he send me a text and following with something that looks in my screen like a waiting circle running forever. Since then we spoke over viber and that I can see in the list. But still the waiting circle is going round.
He told me that it was an image he send me. I let the phone stay in the waiting screen because I suppected it had to do with download time. hours later the circle is still running.

I stoppede Viber and restarted it again. Same problem.
How do I get rid of the waiting cirlcle? Can I cancel the image? I don't want it.

It could be that the network you are connected to is blocking Viber's traffic.

1. First, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Viber when connecting to a few different WiFi networks (in order to pinpoint the source of the problem). What are the results?
2. Also, please make sure the following ports are enabled ("forwarded") on your routers or firewalls:
TCP: 5242 + 4244
UDP: 5243 + 9785

(if you are not sure how to enable ports, you may contact your router manufacturer)

* If it still fails, please specify what country you're located in, and which cellular network you're subscribed to.
 
No access to photos

I use iphone 4s, and until this latest version of viber I had no problems at all. Now, I cannot access the photos, I am instructed to change the privacy settings.

But, my iphone does not have separate privacy settings- I do not have the latest version of iOS!!

WHat to do???

Which version of iOS do you have?
Have you tried going to Settings-->Privacy? Does Viber no appear there?

I currently have my Australian mobile number registered with Viber on my iPhone 5. As I'll be travelling overseas next month and changing SIM cards as I move to a different country, will I still be able to be contacted by my relatives back at home via my Australian mobile number through Viber or do I have to go through the registration process every time I get a new SIM?

This is a known issue, and we're currently working to fix it.

Meanwhile, as a workaround, please try this:
Go to your device's Settings -> Location services -> Turn On Viber's access.

@hieuiee -

Viber is "linked" with the device itself, not the SIM card that's inside the device.
This means that if your Viber is currently registered with your Australian number, then even when you go abroad and change SIM cards, your Viber identity (number) will remain the Australian number with which you first registered, and this is the number you should tell your friends to call you via Viber in order to reach you

Are there any glitches with viber that would cause this to happen? Please help, my husband think there is something suspicious going on....and I can't blame him!!!!

Before we think of suspicious scenarios, please try the following ;)

1. Please reboot both phones, and try again.
1. Try switching (both of you) between a few different WiFi networks, and see if the problem persists on all of them.
3. What phone are you using? Which version of operating system?

We are both using iPhone 4, on 3GS. At times when I answer and it says I'm on another call, my mute button is pressed, but testing that under normal circumstances does not say in his end that I'm on another call. This is serious, and causing great problems for the future of our marriage

I know this is mac site but i did not find any solution thats why i posting here. i was using viber on my galaxy y and it was working perfectly till my brother purchase another android phone and login to viber with different mobile no. Amazingly when he logged in my viber automatically sign out. first i thought it may happen because we are using same wifi hub. And now i am came to Saudi arabia . Even now when i login to viber using 3g sim my brother viber account back in pakistan automatically logout. and when my brother login my account automatically log out . Please help me how to solve this. we are also using different play store emails....

Hello, this isn't really a problem but I was wondering if I could have my entire chat history? I deleted the Viber app a while ago and now none of my chats are there anymore and I need to see a message on one
 
recently i have been experiencing mute problems with viber: only one of the parties is able to listen to the other - there isn't even lag on one end, but the other hears nothing.

the connectivity is great and both parties are using wi-fi. after failed attempts at communicating effectively with viber i switch to facetime with video and everything and there is no problem at all.
