Anyone else in the UK not getting any kind of updates from DHL? Mine shipped on 22nd. Expected that this morning, it would update and be in The Netherlands, but still nothing. Freight is still flying as normal apparently, so wondering what is going on. It's due for delivery Wednesday, but not a single update as of yet. Very frustrating.

Waiting for mine in Germany. DHL has been saying "shipment info received" in the Netherlands for a week now with no change.
I guess it's an exercise in patience. It will come eventually.

Mine (UK) was sitting at the Eindhoven "information received" thing for a little over a week until a couple of days ago when it started moving, and arrived this morning.

I think what happens is that a whole pallet of stuff gets shipped over from China and only when it gets to Europe does the tracking info go live for the last few hops.

When did you order and when was your expected arrival timeframe?

All times are as they appear on the source material, so emails ought to be UK time, DHL times I think will be local to the country the event took place in.

2020-04-16 17:50 :: Apple Order confirmation email, "Dispatches: 5-7 business days", "Delivery: 30 Apr - 4 May"

2020-04-17 12:49 :: DHL tracking "Shipment scheduled to be picked up" (Eindhoven, NL)
2020-04-17 15:26 :: Apple Order dispatch email, "Delivers 24/04/2020"

2020-04-24 10:40 :: Apple "Your delivery may be delayed" email, "may arrive 1 business day later than expected"

2020-04-26 09:18 :: DHL Processed at Amsterdam
2020-04-26 12:48 :: DHL Departed Amsterdam
(hops through Leipzig, which is hilariously in the wrong direction, then to Heathrow)
2020-04-26 18:44 :: DHL Transferred through Heathrow
2020-04-26 22:36 :: DHL Processed at Heathrow

2020-04-27 08:00 :: DHL With delivery courier
2020-04-27 14:07 :: DHL Delivered (South West London)

So the dispatch email looks like it should have been right, but something delayed it en route. I would note that all through the dark time between 17th April and 26th April, I saw different delivery dates in the iOS Apple Store app vs the apple.com website. The website insisted it was 24/04/2020, but the iOS app still showed the 30th April - 4th May window. Neither turned out to be accurate :D

Mine dispatched 22nd. And my DHL track has been the same since. It's expected Wednesday, that's on the correspondence from Apple. No updates at all. I get it, there is no tracking until it gets to the hub, it's what happened with the Mac but it didn't take this long to show up from China to NL. And with nothing at all it's odd. Hopefully it'll update tonight. Or first thing. I would expect movement tomorrow, as it will have to do a hell of a lot between Tuesday and delivery Wednesday if it's not in NL yet.

I just ran 3DMark Time Spy, and the W5700X beat my Radeon VII, graphics score of 9176 vs 8896.

Thanks to everyone posting preliminary results, seems promising so far - Particularly that it was beating a Radeon VII! Anyone have any insight into performance in FCPX... Trying to gauge if I should go for a single W5700X or two!

I just installed mine. Preliminary result: GB5 Metal: 72760, OpenCL: 64616
That’s on par with what I saw, although for me the OpenCL score was closer to 68000. Do you see the same Metal performance degradation I was seeing, where performance dropped to about 20000 and then around 14000?

Had some time to play with my new system tonight. I'm finding the exact same thing with the W5700X slowdowns; tried a game to see how steady the performance was, and there were noticeable performance dips every so often.

I'd have to think Apple is working on updated drivers coming. Someone else mentioned Apple was having trouble with stability in the 15.5.5 beta, and disabled an SMU optimization for this card; optimization is probably not enabled in 15.5.4 then either which would be reason for the slowdowns.

Sadly the same in Australia - no expedited options. and we're stuck with TNT who are woeful.
According to Apple, they shipped three days ago from Shanghai and based on TNT tracking it hasn't moved at all.

Yeah, my order (to Melbourne) hit an exception in Shanghai and has now entered a delay with an unknown delivery date. Was meant to be here 29 April, now, unclear. I'm guessing that logistics are simply still a mess given the state of the world.

Last update was in Pudong airport, saying that it's being rerouted. Darn.

As I learned from experience with my Mac Pro order, TNT's service is shockingly bad, and their tracking information site for customers is inaccurate and rarely updated. I'm in the same boat as you - with an expected delivery date of 27-29 April according to Apple, and the last update on the TNT website shows it in Shanghai and being rerouted on the 25th.

Spoke to TNT this morning and they tell me that even through the tracking info has it in Shanghai, it went on a flight to Singapore on 26 April. From there - they apparently don't know (?) and can't tell me when I can expect to receive it (?).

The experience with my Mac Pro order was similar - when I eventually escalated through Apple and TNT, it turned out the machine had been sat in a depot in Sydney for 3 days before TNT thought to get it delivered. My suggestion is chase Apple and chase TNT - TNT have a dedicated Apple team who can be difficult to reach, but in my experience are the only people who can get clear information.

TNT will tell you something different every time you call them!

I've been generally quite lucky with TNT - the local drivers know me by name, and I know them by name. Helps that the main driver is an Apple user as well. They've gone out of their way to help me with deliveries, and generally done everything on time. Not always been the case, but for the last few years I've had no issues.

I can wait a few more days (weeks?) without the W5700X, it's just frustrating not having it here as originally stated on the shipping notification from Apple.

From what I can tell, the 580 that's currently in my MacPro will just be sitting on a shelf. I haven't found any particular advice that says having the 580 and the W5700X in at the same time will magically increase performance. Only have one display at the moment anyway.

I've never had any issue with their drivers - it's just their tracking system and call centre people.

Apple have this afternoon said that they have been told by TNT that my order (and presumably yours) is now in Hong Kong? Expected for delivery on the 30th.

Update on my order due for delivery Tomorrow 29th. Called DHL - "the reason there are no updates it because it's not been handed over by the seller" so Apple haven't even sent it. Now on the phone with Apple to see what the hell is going on.

If you had two displays, what would you advise?

I had this issue with DHL/Apple with my Mac Pro.

I got a DHL tracking number on 17th April and Apple were telling me it would be delivered on Friday 24th.
Got an email from Apple on 24th around midday to say that it would be delayed by one business day. Had a live chat with Apple Friday afternoon and was assured it would arrive on Monday 27th and that it was best to check DHL tracking as it is more accurate than Apple tracking.

Saturday morning I emailed DHL and they said that Apple haven't yet handed it over. Then called Apple and was told that DHL do have it, that it would be delivered on Monday and that as an apology for the inconvenience they could offer me a free magic mouse. I explained the Mac Pro comes with a magic mouse as standard, asked for a track pad instead and they agreed.

Sunday morning the DHL tracking started to change and it did indeed arrive on the 27th. Apple blamed DHL capacity due to CoVid-19.

Bummer, yes, I'm seeing the same degradation. I had nothing running, the computer straight out of sleep, ran GB5 Metal and got 22k, OpenCL 14k. Then I ran the Heaven benchmark (OpenGL) and FPS was 10 (down from 48), so it isn't just a GB thing.

Hmmm also a wake from sleep issue, and graphical corruption on boot for me (with 2x XDR's hooked up). I'll try to post a video today.

Anyone notice any weird graphical glitching on boot?
