Waiting for 27" Quad to hit Apple stores thread

Still no news in the UK. Everywhere except for a few places in Europe such as the Uk, Spain, Sweden, France etc have had the ship date changed.:(

I've been calling all week before the store opens and getting someone on the phone. It's store dependent (as I'm finding out calling around to other Bay Area stores), but the San Francisco stores have all answered their phones. :)

BTW you are a troll.

Wahoo, they got lots. Called at 10:30am and picked up at 11:20am

Sad fellow. I'm at the San Francisco store (Chestnut Street) right now, with an i5 standing next to me. I'm about to leave the store with it. If you weren't so brainless as to keep calling BEFORE the store opens, you might have one now too.
The i5's came in about half-an-hour ago and were being checked in when I arrived. They told me to come back later and when I said I was worried they'd be gone, they checked again and said I could have one there and then.
 
Both estero and Naples said they will only be getting the i5. So I'm glad I didn't cancel my order for my i7 bc it's PFS as of this morning.

What's with the attitude? It's people like you that give Apple a bad stigma in some people's mind. Do you think you're better than me? Oh, you live in the Marina...of course you do. :cool:

You posted misinformation here. You told me and anyone else in San Francisco that you had personally called the stores this morning and they did NOT have them. Only by noticing your post was made OVER AN HOUR BEFORE THE STORES OPENED did I then check myself. And when I did, five minutes after opening time, the store had them.
People come here for information, not to be misled with rubbish. And then you have the nerve to call someone who points out your false information "a troll".
Laughable.
 
I just purchased an i5 27" iMac from the Ridgedale Mall Apple Store in Minnesota. They said that there are a number of them in stock, but no i7s yet.

Quad core, baby! Hopefully this will be my last post from my ancient G4!
 
Just called both Apple Stores in South Coast Plaza and Irvine Spectrum (in SoCal) and THEY HAVE THEM IN!!!!!
 
Both Kansas City area stores got a few in (Country Club Plaza & Leawood). They didn't get many (from what little info I could elicit from the workers, 3-8), but I'm on my way down to Leawood to pick my i5 up shortly.

Montgomery Mall, MD has i5's as of noon.

Well, they have one less now...:D

Employees did not know what an i5 was, let alone have any clue what an i5 vs i7 is. They asked me if I meant Quad Core because they had some of them!!?!!

So I guess the stores will not be seeing i7's any time soon.
 
I'm sure that just because I ordered mine online yesterday afternoon, the i5 came into my local (Palo Alto, CA) store today. No problem, though. I was able to cancel my online order while @ the store, and I'm now posting on my new iMac! Now to begin the transfer of music & photo files from my old PC. Whohoo!
 
picked mine up at the Stamford, CT store a few minutes ago (after running a few errands). the store was packed but nobody else was buying an iMac.
They didn't have any remotes in stock, so I'll just pick one up later - not a big deal

getting ready to clean off my desk and make room for my new baby.

Southpoint store in NC has a limited supply of i5s now.

And of course I am 300 miles away on vacation. Hope they still have some later in the week
