I'm pretty sure it means it's scheduled for delivery on the 19th, and it will arrive on time (the 19th).

Not sure about the 26th thing...It doesn't seem to be in the right spot for a delivery date.

So any guesses as to wether I get the iMac early or not...

It says the 18th. Im hoping earlier of course.

You could have just copied and pasted my tracking info. Exactly the same. Except, yours says by 10:30am, mine says noon. =P

Alternatively it could mean your iMac will arrive at the local European Distribution Centre on the 19th so they can "Merge Your Order" - in your case the Apple remote. Delivery onto you would hopefully follow shortly after the 19th? Whatever it means I'm hoping the estimated delivery time is a "worst case scenario" and it will be delivered earlier as I'm in a similar scenario.

4PM. Phone rings. It's UPS at the door. A box has arrived. I run up and collect it. It's the remote! Arriving on schedule (it was shipped a week earlier than the computer).

It's quite an impressive remote, apparently formed from a solid block of metal, with a circular cover on the back that can evidently be removed using a coin.

I had the same this weekend, only for me it was 20th/16th.. no delivery today though.. now it's saying 20th/18th.. I think it will be here the 20th.

Arg!

I cant take it anymore! First they cancel the iMac in my order and now it's been waiting somewhere for almost a week now!

The status is prepared to ship, its lying there in some box or container but they just don't ship it!

My last reply in this post...as the waiting is over :)

This is the coolest and wildest machine EVER :D

This. My dates were 16th/20th. It's the 16th today and today the status changed from the same as yours to 'Preparing handover to final carrier'.

Hey,

What do you think that means? My order status says "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" and then, Nov 19th.
Does it mean the order will be merged (iMac Core i7 8GB 1TB + Apple Remote) on the 19th in the Netherlands?
Then I can expect receiving it before the scheduled date which is the 26th :D

Ordered on the 2nd. Shipped today... The last tracking update has a note in the details section...

Package received after FedEx cutoff

It says expected on the 19th. We shall see. As long as I get it before Thanksgiving.

You got it (I think)! 19th is merge in transit date & you'll get a tracking number soon-my 'mysterious' date was today & like several others I've FINALLY got a 'preparing handover' comment.

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 30 Nov 2009 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 19 Nov 2009

Do hope it comes the 19th, but im prepering myself for 30th. The mail from apple says the 26th so its pretty frustrating. I havnt got tracking number yet so i have no idea where it is.

Apple usually delivers before the scheduled date(s), both the one on the website and the one in the email you received. For me it says 26th on the order status, 24th in the email.
I hope I'll get it on Saturday (21). It is possible considering the order should be merging on the 19th.

Yes, in the United States we received both the Commodore and the Monaro as rebadged Pontiacs. From what US reviewers have said about these cars, Australian engineering is... unique. :D

Does anyone even drive a Holden anymore?
I'd much prefer a VW Golf GTI (white of course!)

(sorry off topic)

My order also has a remote and in the shipping details it says items will ship separately as they are available. Alas, i have no remote.
Someone at Apple doesnt love me :(

My remote came today (computer is still "not yet shipped"), and honestly I'm not a big fan of it. It's a lot longer than the old remotes, and the buttons just feel weird. I prefer the older remote.

However, I called apple today and nicely asked why the phone system said "your imac is waiting to be shipped", but the online interface said "not yet shipped". I was very friendly and didn't press for details -- I also didn't hear a real answer -- but the guy was solid and credited me the cost of the remote. I didn't even ask/hint for him to do it, just out-of-the-blue "want us to credit you for that remote?"

All in all, even though I don't have my mac, Apple's customer service reps have been amazing.

I've been nice to them, and in return I received a free upgrade to 2 day shipping and a free apple remote. :)

Everyone should call and be really nice, don't haggle them, and in return you may get free goodies :) I'd imagine they don't know anything beyond what we do, so just be nice and see if Christmas will come early! Make everyone's day a little brighter.

Dear Apple, you should promote Dustin, your CRS who answered my call at 6PM CST!!! :p

Well done! Im allways nice (but firm) to them on the phone. Might see whats up with my remote (not thats its of any use without the mac anyway)...

I ordered 11/10 and haven't had money taken out yet. Where ya from?

Im from NJ from what I know with apple usually when they take out the actually money (charge the card) means its in the shipping process hopefully it goes into prepared for shipping soon.
