Mine still shows delivers in "November". My first and probably last BTO. What a crock!!

There could be an innocent explanation...

Maybe they had the machines all ready for the October people and they found some early production fault so they had to make you all new ones. Because it is strange... it only seems to October people.

AFAIK there are still problems (there's a thread about the problems over on the Apple Support forums). I received my 27" i7 last week and just started to get the display flickering issue today. I did a PRAM reset and so far so good, but I don't remain optimistic that the problem is fixed. I also read posts from two folks who received their i7 iMacs today and they had the display problems right away. It seems to me like it's a very, VERY widespread problem. Hopefully it can be fixed via a software/firmware update but no one yet knows for sure.

Does it still just happen on low brightness? If so then that's just the LCD. Every iPhone and iPod I've ever used does the same thing if you turn the brightness too low. The fix? Maybe Apple should patch the software so that you can't make the brightness so low.

Apple forgot me, i guess :(

Well i think we have enough consistant results to prove my theory of the October Forgotton Generation on Imac orders.

If someone from Apple is reading this you need to do something about this NOW.

Escallate it to the powers to be that you are at risk of losing these orders from some of your most loyal and dedicated customers.

In a way im relieved that its not just me, it appears to be affecting lots of people, all with the same pre-November order dates (most are not USA orders though,)

Does anyone know exactly how long it takes for FedEx to update tracking after this point:

Nov 16, 2009 12:06 PM
Left FedEx origin facility
SHANGHAI CN ?

It's been like that since yesterday with no updates. It still says Nov 18th delivery, but still showing in China and I'm near Washington, DC - That's quite the trek in 24-36 hours.

This is crazy :D I have spent the last hour trying to track down the flight mine is on. I assume that its on its way from Korea to Cologne at the moment.. but not having any luck..

Hi I also ordered on oct. 21st
My iMac was purportedly shipped oct. 11th. But I haven't received a tracking number, it wasn't until yesterday evening my status finally changed from "in transit to final destination carrier" to " Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date" (the delivery date is on friday oct. 20th.)
And finally a carrier was added, but I'm still not able to track the shipment as the carrier is "NL DISTRIBUTION CENTER" and the tracking number is the same delivery reference number as I've had from day one.
So basically my iMac is stranded in some distribution center in Holland.
I phoned Apple yesterday to ask why I hadn't received any tracking information yet and I was told that I wouldn't receive any tracking info before the shipment had been handed over to my "final destination carrier" and that it should happen within a couple of days.
I just hope my iMac will be there on friday so I don't have to wait out the weekend.
By the way I think it's a bit unfair that american orders a flown directly by a carrier, while european, or Scandinavian orders are delayed by waiting in centers and depots, so that they can be shipped in quantities, why not just hand it over to the carrier directly from the factory, then I would at least get some tracking info

I ordred on the 11 Nov and Apple obviously put a hold on my card, as the difference between the available credit, transactions and credit limit was the exact amount of the iMac.

I still haven't received any update, but today, my available credit has increased by the cost of the iMac. Should I be worried, or has the hold just expired after a week, and they will pre-auth it again soon?

The UK store has just changed from November to 7-10 days last night, and like someone else, I feel like re-ordering just to get a real shipping date.

I wish I had ordered sooner.

Also in the UK ordered mine on the 23rd of Oct! And still no change, so even if you had ordered 18 days before like me you would still be waiting!

No update for me, ordered on the 11th of Nov. Still showing as 'not yet shipped'.

Looks like they're waiting for more orders to come through so they can get the one cargo plane out of Shanghai :D

i'm glad to see that i'm not the only one who ordered in october and didn't get any status update since then.
I called the Apple Customer Support today and they told me that my machine will ship end of november...
Well my call didn't bring me any further. I'll wait until next monday, if by then still nothing changed with my order, i'll cancel it.

Order just shipped this morning. Esimated delivery date for other items is Nov. 28th.

Base i5 model on the Apple Store is now listed as 7-10 Business Days. :)

I ordered on the 10th of November from the UK (i7, 4GB, 1TB...). It's showing as Prepared for Shipment on the US site, but still no change on the UK one. Any idea why this is and when it's likely to ship?

When I called them I and got the same reply I told that that I could accept a November delivery, but what I could not accept is that people who have ordered after me getting theirs sooner as I was told that orders are processed based on orders date.. I looked on the forums for people in the UK that posted details on when they ordered and got theirs shipped and used that info too. Worked for me :D

From what I can gather, the US site updates before the UK one and it takes <24hrs to ship after preparing.

Same here. That's exactly what I've got. Mine us headed to Michigan. Unless today is a very productive day for FedEx I highly doubt we'll be seeing them tomorrow morning... =(

Thanks, just a little more waiting I guess.

Did you have to wait until after the UK store updated for yours to ship or not, johnrs?

Dont think so.. When I went to sleep sunday night it was still PFS only on the US store but monday morning it went to shipping so I checked the UK store it also said the same

For UK customers with "Merge In Transit GB" status and no ability to track your shipment Apples Order Status page is almost comical.

My order shipped on the 12th with the message "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" and dated 17th November. My best guess this is the date that my iMac reaches a British fulfillment/distribution centre where they combine the rest of my order (Time Capsule / Applecare). HOWEVER I check today (17th) and now the message reads "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" and dated 18th November. Guess if I check tomorrow it will slip another day but still be reported as being "On Schedule".

I have an Apple delivery estimate of 25th November which I initially regarded as a "worst case scenario" date but I'm not so sure now. Funny how in the US shipping from Shanghai to ultimate address can be 3-4 days, but here up to two weeks?

Ordered my i5 the 13th of Nov. Still no news. I bet they'll ship together :)

Spoke to Apple guy. He claims it'll arrive in the UK Monday, but I don't have any evidence he has any clue what he's talking about.
