Seeing UK orders made around the 11/12th being prepared for shipment is making me ever more optimistic that mine (Nov 13) wont be that far behind. Though looking back at Apple’s recent record of seemingly disregarding the ‘first come’ system is also making me a little hesitant to get excited. I suppose it arrives when it arrives.

Are there many people still waiting on orders from October/early November?

If you ordered an i7, don't be so sure. I ordered on the 11th and haven't had any change yet.

Nah I stuck with the base i5. Though I'd have said it was the opposite of what you predict - I've noticed far more i7s being shipped than i5s recently (based on this topic). Though with a fellow i5-er in the UK having shipping confirmation for an order placed only a day before mine, I'm guessing there’s a fresh batch off the production line.

But yeah. My order is still estimating 'November'.

Just ordered i7 yesterday and got the ship date Dec 1 to arrive in Houston Dec 4! Merry Christmas to me :D

My local Apple store was POSITIVE that they would have the i7 in stock even though it was a BTO because of 'demand' in the area. idk. Finally gave up and just ordered online instead.

That's disgustingly fast:(, however, happy for you:D. I think Apple messed up my order. When I ordered I also ordered a printer, applecare and the remote. The next day I received an email from Apple stating there was a problem. The credit card company rejected one of the charges although when I ordered I notified the CC company to pre-authorize the amounts. Called Apple, they said the CC accepted the charge for the printer and applecare but rejected the fricking $20.00 remote. I said I would call them. Apple said I did not have to call them (apple) back as they would re-submit the charge. Called the CC company and they explained that Apple had made a charge, then a credit, then the printer, applecare and remote. They only needed my OK. All was well, I thought. My remote was supposed to be here yesterday or today but was and is still not shipped. I called the CC company and they never received a resubmission from Apple for the $20.00. Called Apple and they could not explain why and did the resubmission for the $20.00. They also gave me 2 day shipping HOWEVER, this has caused another delay. The remote now says another 3 - 5 days to be shipped and not arriving up to the 24th. My iMac still says shipping in November. This is rediculous:mad:. I told Apple that I needed to have it shipped in November because the wife gets double points on her credit card and, if the wife's not happy, nooooobody's happy:p,. She just laughed, wife didn't. Since it was Apple's screwup they should expidite this thing.

There is an order for an i5 a few hours before mine, and one a day later that have both shipped. What does that tell you about i7 orders?

Looks like I'll be getting mine a day early. It was in China yesterday, and should be at my door today. Amazing.

For those who don't want to look for my previous posts:
27" Core i7, 1TB, 4GB
Ordered 11/5/09 8pm
Shipping to Midwest US

Edit: Just showed up! Can't wait to get it home and try it out!

My new iMac has just arrived!!!

I ordered on the 20th Oct
27" iMac i7 2TB 8GB
Shipped 11/11/09

To those who ordered in October who have not yet had a Shipping Notification, I would suggest you call Apple, without my two calls and them trying trying to speed it up I am not convinced that it would be here today.

Now.... how many days to the next iMac update :p

I have tried calling Apple a few times, all I get is "it ships sometime in Nov, we have no further information" and the bullcrap that orders are shipped in the order that they were placed. That is obviously not true based on this thread.
Calling them does not help.

You are right - orders aren't shipped in the order that they were placed. I ordered mine Nov 10th expecting to get it sometime in Dec. It shipped today!

Mine was shipped on the 11th and now I have a UPS tracking number (1Zxxxxxx). On the UPS tracking site this now shows it as In Transit, with a departure scan from Tamworth at 10:34pm this evening. Due to arrive on the 18th. My original estimated delivery date was the 20th.

Popped home in my lunch hour and was lucky to catch the UPS delivery.
I didn't realise how big it is. Dwarfs my 20".

FedEx botched by delivery by 2 days

So I rang up Apple and they credited me 100 off the order and threw in a remote.

Now that is customer service.

That the more time you spend refreshing this topic to see who have and haven't received their order, the more irate you're going to be? It also tells me that Apple need to be more consistent with their ordering system =o/

Also I've just noticed that although the shipping details haven't budged from 'November', I can no longer cancel the order which is a good sign.

This is bound to rightly piss some people off..

I ordered an i7/8GB/2TB on Nov 15th (3 days ago).

It just changed to "prepared for shipment"

Weird, I ordered a "stock" i7 on Nov. 13 and mine is still "not yet shipped." Maybe they do runs of different configurations and they just happened to do one with 8GB and 2TB drives before doing more plain i7s.

mine came in today. ordered 28/11, germany

edit:

forgot to say its an i7 standard

Hope this helps on any recent orders.

I ordered Nov. 11 about noon EST.
Imac i7 2TB 4GB w/ iwork
Still says ships November
But now says "Prepared for Shipment"
and will not let me cancel.

No charges on CC .
No ship date.

One could only hope and wait. 1st mac and my PC is on its way out, Fans need replacing, HD is full with other issues

The charge for the i7 hit my card this morning, and I paid it. Status is still 'origin scan' in Shanghai. So UPS is aware of it in some sense anyways. Delivery is still scheduled for Monday the 23rd.

Yup. Mine's languishing in Shanghai, too. Due by the 23rd as well. Do we need more Canadians to order these things to warrant a container shipped to us? I think you were right about that loading dock thing. Maybe iMac boxes make convenient seats in the smoke break area.

If it doesn't arrive by the 25th I might call Apple like JimKirk did, and have them work some customer service magic. I shoulda taken advantage of that printer rebate offer.

Bah. I'd rather just get the computer on time.

Delivery date is sooner than expected. Was supposed to deliver on Tuesday,Nov.24th. Lastest update said this "THE SERVICE SELECTED IS NOT AVAILABLE TO THE DESTINATION ADDRESS / DOWNGRADED, FORWARDED TO CONSIGNEE, SELECTED SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE". Now the rescheduled delivery date is saying on Friday,Nov.20th. Anyone from Toronto Ontario have something similar?

My i7, 8GB, 2TB was just delivered to my office, sitting next to me. Looking forward to taking it home and making love to it.

Oslo, Norway btw.
