Ordered on Nov 12th 8:35 pst got a prepared for shipment update today now the waiting begins for a tracking number.

I ordered a stock i7 on the evening of the 10th and it shipped yesterday. I have a tracking number already.

This is getting a little ridiculous

18 days into November and I still don't have mine.

Seems FedEx decided to pull it for audit.

Who knows what that means.

Probably some employee got a new toy.

I honestly don't know the status now. It was supposed to be delivered Tuesday.

Well my i7 arrived this morning at 10am and I am typing on it now. No scratched screen, no broken glass, no dead pixels and no screen distortions. One word... WOW!! I am coming from a Mac Mini.

Best to all of you,

Chris

Anyone in this thread know for a fact (i.e. you've had first hand experience) whether FedEx will deliver on a Saturday (in the US), if you have 2-3 day shipping?

I've read multiple answers all over the internet.

Obviously I'm referring to iMac shipments.

Thanks

P.S. Please don't give me links to the FedEx website :p Even their site says two different things.

It depends. We ship Fedex pretty much exclusively and it depends whether it's Fedex Express, Fedex Ground or Fedex Ground Home Delivery. Ground is divided into standard ground and home delivery services and ground is run by independent contractors. Fedex Express is a different ball of wax.

Fedex Ground runs M-F only, but Saturday delivery is available for an additional fee. Fedex Ground Home Delivery runs Tues-Sat. So for example if we want to ship a package to a customer who's also in Southern California and it's Friday afternoon we can ship via Home Delivery and it'll show up on Sat. at no extra charge to the customer.

Fedex Express has a similar delivery schedule to standard ground and you have to pay extra for Sat. delivery.

My guess is that Apple is not paying for Saturday delivery on expedited 2-3 day shipments. Just a hunch.

Just got a shipped email from Apple!

Ordered Nov 10 via Apple Education Store.
i7 2.8Ghz
8GB Ram (2x4GB)
2TB HDD

Shipped 11:14PM last night!!!
Should be here next Monday

Portland, Oregon

Well, I see some progress now:
ordered my i7, 1tb, 8gb RAM on the 3rd of Nov,
and it shipped for Sweden today.

It just said "not shipped yet", just to suddenly burst into "shipped"!

Estimated arrival friday the 20th! 2 days of shipping? Nice, if that IS GOING TO BE the case..

It went into "exception" for a while, but then went abcl to "on time, estimated arrival 20th".

So I'm asking all of you to keep some fingers crossed that it will work!

Would love to have it for the weekend..

EDIT: I choose the numpad as well. And the Mighty Mouse. no additonal software.

It depends on your local station. They are under no obligation to deliver it to you because International Priority shipments don't automatically have Saturday delivery. However, as a courtesy, they may be willing to deliver it to your of they will let you come by and pick it up. The problem generally is that shipments that aren't to be delivered on Saturday don't usually get sorted and so are left in a sealed container and sorted at later points during the weekend for Monday delivery. So it really depends on whether your local Fedex facility is willing to go the extra mile for you.

Ordered my I5 Imac on the 6th November (standard spec).

Status changed to prepared for shipping this morning.

Just looked again and its changed to shipped with a delivery date of the 19/11/2009!!!!!!! I pray to the almighty that its not a mistake and by some miracle there is one in the UK already on its way to me! Either that or a plane is gonna fly over my house and parachute an imac to me lol.

like most people I was on the phone most days giving it beans in a nice way. Rang 3 times in a row on saturday and informed them I was not happy with people receiving there items etc who have ordered after me blah blah. On the 3rd attempt the guy raised a complaint ticket with reference number and informed me that they would look into my complaint and contact me within 7 days.

So im guessing that the moaning paid off. Now before im flamed I am aware that there are people still waiting from October etc however as the saying goes 'the squeaky wheel gets the grease!'.

My advice is keep ringing and informing them you have numerous friends who have ordered after you and have received them etc. Be nice, crack a joke etc and who knows you might get somewhere. Be warned however as you will have to go through quite a few muppets before you get to someone who either cares or can help you.

Shipped to NUNEATON, GB 18 Nov 2009
Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 19 Nov 2009 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status Shipment dispatched 18 Nov 2009

What the...?

I just received the confirmation email stating that my order was dispatched today (18th) and will be delivered tomorrow (19th, to Nottingham, UK). Have UPS mastered the art of bending space-time recently and not told anybody? =/

Though saying that I can't track the delivery, so I don't know whether it's been dispatched from China or from within the UK. Also, my bank statement isn't showing the money as having left my account yet, so it might not have been dispatched from anywhere.

Maybe Apple are just playing horrible mind games with me =(

EDIT:: colthillary, that makes two of us. Hopefully this isn't just a prank.

Another UK user who had good news. i7 ordered 9th November, went prepared for shipping yesterday and was despatched today.

Despite being merge in transit with a remote, I have a UPS tracking number which is telling me that my i7 left Shanghai at 1.45am local time tomorrow!!

Apple give estimated delivery of 24th, UPS say 20th so I am hoping.

This is my first ever Mac having used Dos and Windows since who knows when, so to say I am mildly excited would be just a small understatement.

Having followed this thread since the beginning I feel enormous sorrow for those who ordered in October and who are still waiting/have heard nothing. The way things appear to be moving now, it looks like some of those early orders were really screwed up, it does not show Apple in a good light to leave these people hanging like they are.
