I have an Apple delivery estimate of 25th November which I initially regarded as a "worst case scenario" date but I'm not so sure now. Funny how in the US shipping from Shanghai to ultimate address can be 3-4 days, but here up to two weeks?

Mine, which seems to be in the same slow boat as yours, changed from an estimate of the 26th to the 25th today ... only the APP and the VESA mount have delivery dates listed though - the iMac still just says shipped on 13th November.

I just received notice that mine has shipped, 7 days after ordering:

iMac 27" i7, 2TB

Order placed: Nov 11, 2009
Shipped: Nov 18, 2009
Delivers by: Nov 24, 2009

It is kind of a waste for me. This one is a Christmas present for my wife, so it will be sitting and waiting for a month.

/Jim

Just checking in to say mine has arrived! Typing on it now.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting :) you'll be glad when you get it.

Don't waste time calling FedX.

They don't seem to have a clue what is going on.

I7 scheduled for delivery Nov 18, before 10:30 am (about fifteen minutes ago) but not yet delivered.

Checked FedX website, and the delivery date has been removed, and no new date posted.

Called and the autobot stated that the package was in transit to the FedX facility in my zip code. (same status has shown on the website since previous day).

Representative says it hasn't cleared customs. Website shows int'l shipment release 24hrs ago.

AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Seeing UK orders made around the 11/12th being prepared for shipment is making me ever more optimistic that mine (Nov 13) wont be that far behind. Though looking back at Apple’s recent record of seemingly disregarding the ‘first come’ system is also making me a little hesitant to get excited. I suppose it arrives when it arrives.

Are there many people still waiting on orders from October/early November?

Yup >:-(
I am sooooooo p*ssed off! It's so annoying hearing people ordering theirs a few days ago when I ordered on 26th October! I have had no change to the "not yet shipped". Apple just give me bull each time I call them!
Aaaarrrrgggghhhhh! *sob*

I feel your pain. FedEx just missed my scheduled ship date. And still no update from 'In Transit - Anchorage AK'. No change in ship date.

I'm so sick of being left in the dark with this! I am paying a LOT of money for this machine. And at this point, I wish I could just cancel it and spend my money elsewhere. I've never had an experience like this, and I never expected it from a company with a reputation like Apple.

Sigh... I'm just being bitter. I planned my whole day around this delivery. A lesson learned I suppose...

edit - And there it goes. My delivery date is gone, not to be replaced.

We definitely are "in the same boat" so to speak. My delivery date was the 26th (local to event time) but has now become 25th. Also, eagerly awaiting to see what happens overnight as I have the 18th marked on the order details next to ...."in Transit"(originally was the 17th). What makes me think it will mysteriously slip to the 19th overnight?

I spoke with Apple and was told that the iMac goes to Holland where they merge the order, then will be shipped to a UK Distribution Centre before finally being shipped to me - although not sure I totally think this is actually the case it might as well be in the length of time it's taking.

Oh well Cest la Vie, at least ours are on their way - unlike some of the customers who ordered in October and have yet to ship.

My problem is that I can't decide who to get pissed off at.

Once it goes to shipping, it is no longer Apples fault, blame it on FedX.

But you can't blame it on FedX if it really is held up in customs. Blame it on the morons who created DHS.

I think I'll just settle for that one, Blame it on Bu$h.

Finally! Prepared for Shipment :D
Altho, the swedish apple store still sais that it isn't prepered yet, but logged in to the american store and it said Prepared for Shipment :)

Hopefully it will be here sometime next week :) Been a long wait, but hope it's worth it.

(ordered 28th october)

Yup. Mine's languishing in Shanghai, too. Due by the 23rd as well. Do we need more Canadians to order these things to warrant a container shipped to us? I think you were right about that loading dock thing. Maybe iMac boxes make convenient seats in the smoke break area.
Just checked status. We have 'export scan'!

Oh no! That sucks. I hope it makes it to Memphis then Texas soon for you.

You should see:

At destination sort facility
At local Fedex Facility
On FedEx vehicule for delivery

One you get that its almost there.

Mine fortunately made it out of Anchorage to Dallas via Memphis. Its out for delivery now even though it shows a delivery date of tomorrow. I dont think those dates are worth much.

Just changed to Prepared to Ship last night (around 2AM Chicago time), then Shipped last night too around 6AM.

Excited.

Hope the details in my signature can help answer peoples questions who may still be waiting.

Awesome, mine should do the same tonight hopefully as I ordered 1 day after you and they charged me for shipping Monday night.

At 9:30am EST yesterday, my iMac left China and by 10:24am EST this morning, the iMac was at my door! It was supposed to arrive by 10:30am this morning- wow I got lucky...

FYI my iMac came from Anchorage to Indianapolis not Memphis as I expected.

I just called Apple again and they couldn't shed the tiniest glimmer of light on this situation. He had no idea why people ordering their 27" iMacs ("are you sure they are 27"? - he kept saying!!!!!) now are getting them sooner than October orders.
If I had hair left I'd be pulling it out by now.
I know it still actually IS November, but this sucks

Base model i7 prepared for shipment as of the last couple hours. Ordered 10:30pm PST on 11/12. We'll see how long before it actually goes somewhere.

Anyone in this thread know for a fact (i.e. you've had first hand experience) whether FedEx will deliver on a Saturday (in the US), if you have 2-3 day shipping?

I've read multiple answers all over the internet.

Obviously I'm referring to iMac shipments.

Thanks

P.S. Please don't give me links to the FedEx website :p Even their site says two different things.

I had the priority shipping added to my order. Under "Features", FedEx says "Indirect Signature Required" and "Deliver Weekdays". It's not coming on a Saturday.

Some people a ways back had luck talking a FedEx rep into letting them pick it up at the sorting facility on a Saturday, but their policy states they have to attempt delivery at least once before you can do that, so YMMV.

Seems to be common, as discussed earlier. It doenst look like Apple are going to do anything about it either, perhaps they hope we will cancel and reorder or something. Most ppl here will recieve their goods before ours even ships, and we ordered a good 2-3 weeks before.

Ordered i7/Quad/2TB/4Gb on 20th Oct. Was showing expected delivery on 20th November. Now dropped back to 23rd.

Still no tracking information.
