Talked to the FedEx international track & trace folks, and they said that the web site is accurate--the package only left the Shanghai depot this morning and is in fact on a plane over the Pacific ocean right now. They said there's a 25% chance the package will show up tomorrow, and more likely it'll be Monday morning.

The FedEx guy said that the delay was because of the Chinese customs officials--they refused to clear my pallet for three full days and gave no reason. I'm pretty disappointed to possibly have to wait a third weekend, but it appears there's nothing I can do about it :(

That sucks, especially if you have to wait another weekend. Hope you get it tomorrow, but whenever you get it, it'll be in your hands soon enough.

my 21.5" boarded the flight 28 or 90 looks like it!!! hopefully delivered tomorrow morning :D (assuming it will reach US like 3pm PST)

all the best for others who are waiting ;)

Congrats and thanks!

My i7 was tagged as in transit at 10pm Shanghai time this morning. This looks like it would put me on FDX Flight# 28. That flight is due to land in Alaska at 12:30pm local time. (1pm pac time).

I am located in Los Angeles, CA. Does anyone think my i7 will make the scheduled delivery time listed for tomorrow morning by 10:30am? I assume it will clear customs in Alaska and then get flown straight to LAX?

I ordered on Nov. 20th and my scheduled delivery was Dec. 2nd but the package missed the fed ex cutoff the first time so now it is rescheduled for Dec. 4th.

My i7 replacement was shipped from China to Japan which I don't understand. It was scheduled to come tomorrow but now it says In Transit.

It could also be on Flight 90... both are close together and will land within a hour or so of each other. I note some of these flights are going directly from Alaska to Memphis, so it is hard to tell l if they will ship to the other hubs. If there is no delay in customs, delivery could occur tomorrow.

I have no idea if mine is on either of these two flights. My last entry on status was at 2:48(China time) on Tuesday indicating in Transit?

Pardon my ignorance, but where are you getting the flight info? Don't know if y'all can help me since my i7 is coming via UPS and the latest info is still reading "Origin Scan," which has been there since at least 5 a.m. yesterday (U.S. Central Time).

Slightly off-topic (just want to share this in case it might help someone), UPS works nicely for me because, in the relatively good chance that I miss the delivery, I can go to the local distribution center and pick it up later that evening (gotta call w/ the info notice number before 7 p.m., though). Don't know FedEx's policy for such situations nor do I know where they might have such a distribution center.

My i7 went from Shanghai China to Osaka, Japan too! It shows an 11:30 PM Departure scan there. I didn't see any delivery date on the UPS site just in transit. :(

Yep same here with 1130pm. I'm trying to track down the flight but can't find it anywhere. I live an hour away from the Louisville, KY so I'm still hopeful it will come tomorrow.

http://flightaware.com/live/airport/RJBB are the flights and we could be on this flight http://flightaware.com/live/flight/NWA908 but not 100% sure.

Since I live in the Seattle area, I'm hoping that the aircraft lands at SeaTac and the 'package' goes to the local UPS distribution center here and to the truck for delivery! ;)

My status just updated with:

UPS HAS OBTAINED DOCUMENTATION AND SUBMITTED TO FOOD & DRUG ADMINISTRATION AND/OR DEPARTMENT OF AG/PPQ;AWAITING RESPONSE

lol no idea what that means.

I checked again after your message.:

LOUISVILLE, KY, US 12/03/2009 2:07 P.M. UPS HAS OBTAINED DOCUMENTATION AND SUBMITTED TO FOOD & DRUG ADMINISTRATION AND/OR DEPARTMENT OF AG/PPQ;AWAITING RESPONSE

The big thing is that it's in Louisville. KY in the USA! :D

what is your scheduled delivery date? Mine was for tomorrow and could possibly happen since I live in Florence, Kentucky. Right now it just says exception which I think is common since it's waiting to clear the FDA.

mine just changed and reached AK, all times are in PST. I live in Portland, OR Scheduled delivery for Tomorrow 10.30AM, let us see what happens...

No delivery date shown on the UPS Site. Still the same message there, that I posted.

Exact same tracking info with me. Mine was scheduled for 10:30am delivery today, which obviously didn't happen, and right around 10:30 my tracking page quit showing any delivery info at all. Now there's just a ship date with no delivery date.

Seems to me like this thread should be Called "Waiting to DELIVER" instead of ship lol. All I keep reading about are updates and updates on shipping when every time I check my order status on apple.com it still says "Not yet shipped" :(:( Got my printer the day after I placed my order though. woo freaking hoo.

My last visit to the UPS website still has no delivery date and now say's.:

"Your package has experienced an exception."

What does this really mean?

Those of you who ordered when the wait was 7-10 business days, are you seeing days closer to 7 days or closer to 10 days when they actually shipped? My i7 replacement was ordered Dec. 1 and the ship date stands at Dec. 15 which is 10 business days which I assume is a worse case scenerio. I would be really happy if it could ship next week sometime. :)

My i7 ordered 25th was shipped today. should have been produced in week 49...I hope everything works properly. if he had any problems, immediately send another computer or do I send back my first? thanks

When you said it should have been produced in week 49, what do you mean by that? Week 49 is December 6, 2009 -December 12, 2009. Wasn't it more likely produced in late week 47 or early week 48? Or does Apple go by different weeks?

I ordered November 27th, when it said 7-10 business days. I have estimated shipping date of December 11th, which is the full 10 business days. Like you said, I'm hoping that's worse case scenario, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Yeah I'm planning for the worse case scenario (10 days) but hoping for the best (7 days). Just curious from those of you receiving your computers in the upcoming days whether it was closer to 7 or 10. Might give us an idea if they are starting to catch up with production. If closer to 10 days it means they are "falling" behind and can't catchup to demand. If closer to 7 days that might mean they are getting caught up and it might drop down to 3-5 days fairly soon. Just a guess.

Ordered 19 Nov, shipped 30 Nov (7 business days--6, if you don't count Thanksgiving day, but I'm not sure if that matters for China or not).

Shanmugam,

The screen you posted earlier in the thread shows your In Transit time from Shanghai as 10:10 and 10:15pm but the post you just put up shows different times. Which one is right, or did they change somehow? My pickup time was the same as yours so I was expecting to get into Alaska at the same time but I still have no update on status. =(

It shows expected delivery tomorrow still. I actually just called FedEx and then confirmed to me that the package should still be delivered tomorrow by 10:30am....
