Ordered Dec. 1, changed today to "Prepared for shipment" however still listed as ships: Dec. 15th. Hope that it ships sometime this week to get it by the weekend.

Really nice.

I have had my 27" i7 for about a week. For those waiting, I think you will be glad you did. For those using two monitors for programs like Photoshop, there is so much real estate on this screen you won't need a second. Hang in there. Good luck.

Are you in prepared for shipment?

Not sure. My aunt purchased the computer for me so I could use the education discount. She also lives in Alaska and I am having it shipped there to get rid of the tax. I'll ask her to forward any shipping info to me.

Hi, I also ordered a stock i7 on Dec 1. Order status is "Not yet shipped' and ships on Dec 15th and delivers on Dec 18th. I am in the US. My credit card is not charged yet.

Good to hear that your status changed to "Prepared for shipment". I hope your card is also charged which would mean you will receive your iMac very soon.
Good luck.

Unfortunately (well not really ;) ) I am not having this charged on my credit card since it is Apple replacing my i5 with an i7. So I won't be able to get that bit of info in relations to my CC being charged. However my order has been expedited as much as it can be according to the AppleCare representative who set this all up. The computer is being sent priority shipping and I asked if I could upgrade it to overnight and they said it already was and there was no way to ship it any faster. :D

My guess is that you will probably see some update in your order tomorrow. Hopefully we will have ours shipped this week. :D

Ordered mine on the 30th and I'm checking my status religiously, as of right now it's still "Not yet shipped" and Ships: Dec 14/Delivers: Dec 17.. but I'm hoping that changes really soon!

Hi! I ordered my i7 on Dec 3rd and my credit card was charged the same day, but the order status is still 'Not yet shipped'. Is this common? Or should I be charged only when my order ships?

Thanks.

I think we you first order Apple puts a temporary hold on the CC to make sure the funds are available within your credit limit. They don't actually charge you until your computer is sent.

Still waiting. Apple just pushed my delivery date to the 11th, back from the 8th for no reason. Still no tracking information beyond "it's on its way".

I ordered mine on the 22nd of November, and i think my shipment finally merged this weekend (ordered the remote too, bad mistake, should have ordered them separately).

Anyways, after being prepared to handover to carrier during the weekend, its not in transit to customer, shipment on schedule so hopefully it should be here tomorrow or wednesday (i actually hope its wednesday morning coz i have a full day at uni tomorrow)..

However, i still don't have a proper carrier tracking number. Do you guys know when i should expect to get that?

As it turns up on your doorstep basically, is the best I can get out of Apple. If you're lucky you may get it the night before...

Hmm.

My replacement i5 (flickering problem), after reporting it on Friday:

Estimated Shipping: 21 Dec, 2009
Estimated Delivery: 30 Dec, 2009

They've got to be kidding....

great! if i had had a precise info on when it would be on my doorstep i might have skipped an hour to be there when the guy turns up... now it will be a surprise when i get there in the evening whether i find a UPS slip in the mail box or not...
I'd be f**kin livid if my imac came while i wasn't there :-S

Regarding shipping, mine is most certainly coming tomorrow, though UPS is not very good at updating their tracking info (unless it is still (26 hours +) making the 105-mile in-state journey to our local sorting facility).

I called UPS last night and the rep said it should be here by 10:30 a.m. I was hoping to see a "on truck for delivery" message, but *still* no tracking updates on the site. I just called and used the automated tracking assistant and it only said that it was on time for delivery today. More detailed info and more timely updates would be appreciated, UPS. (not really mad, just a little irked).

Anyway, keeping fingers crossed and one eye out on the street. (every car door noise, etc. and I'm looking outside...:))

Order placed: 12/1
Ready for shipment status: 12/6
Shipped: 12/7
Delivery: 12/9

It is on its way. :D

Why does it take so long. Seriously

My order was placed Dec 3 and still have no movement.

When they say 7-10 days it is a lie. They really mean 10 days and those are business days so really it is like 1/2 a month.

Does it really take that damn long to make a computer?

I ordered only 2 days later than you but mine will not ship until the 17th. WTH?

Well when A) They are in high demand B) Having issues with rumors of them fixing them right now( ie the factory shutdown rumor) well yes it does take a damn long time to make a computer. :p

It also isn't like BTO orders are the only ones they are building right now. Have to supply their stores and other resellers too.

First you say 7-10 days is a lie, but then you admit the 10days is true but that they are business days? Go to the Apple store and they are truthful by saying 7-10 business days. They haven't lied or tried to cover anything up. Not sure why there is anything to get upset over. You knew what the wait was when you ordered.

This thing is HUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGE! It has none of the common issues. That is, it has no HDD noise, no yellow tint, and no cracked glass.

It's a thing of beauty. :D

Mine came in 12 days total from time of order to doorstep. It's an i7 with iWork preinstalled and wired keyboard. So, that's 8 business days. It was supposed to ship in 5-7 business days and shipped in 6 (well, we'll call it 6.5).
