I'm back in the "Waiting...to Ship thread" for the third time! Yes, this will be my third i5. After two weeks, the first, a week 48 machine, wouldn't wake from sleep and the second, a week 50, had the flickering/blackout issue (unfortunately the software update was ineffective.)

How is it possible for some to still be getting week 49 machines? My latest return was a week 50 machine that shipped on Dec 12. It's all very confusing.

Anyway, wish me luck and here's to hoping the third time is the charm.

IMAC 27"/4850-512MB
Custom configured
Ships: Jan 13
Delivers: Jan 18

Hopefully, like the last time, my replacement will ship well before Apple's estimated date.

had quite the pleasant surprise when i woke up today. i wasn't expecting to get my imac until monday, as i didn't know ups shipped on new years eve...quite the way to start the new year

no issues so far. i've got a week 49 and the screen seems great, especially after calibration. now all i have to do is transfer my music collection and i'm set. so happy

that's a big new year's present :D nice way to enter 2010.

hope the machine runs perfect ;)

Mine was shipped! Should arrive around Jan. 5. The invoice says it's a week 53.

Same here. Mine says "in transit from Memphis". If only Fedex delivered on Saturday's, I think it would probably come a little earlier. I do think it'll show up Monday, although it's still estimated at January 5th by 10:30 am.

My order shipped!

My iMac was ordered on Dec 22. My invoice says week 53 for my iMac 27" i7 - Shipped from Shanghai and just departed Anchorage on it way to the US. Est delivery is Tues Jan 5

I don't know where you live but likely your iMac will be delivered on Monday. Both of my previous machines left Anchorage on a Saturday and were delivered to my Atlanta address on the following Monday.

That would be great! However, with past deliveries it would go from Anchorage to Tennessee then up to my location in Connecticut. I will keep an eye out to see if that is not the case this time. Thanks for the heads up! I would sure hate to miss that delivery!

Brilliant. Thank you for this nice checklist update. Sounds like one can get a great iMac after all. Now let's see how this works after 1-2-3 weeks of use :D

BTW I can say my iMac now has visible yellow tinge during normal (i.e. no special test conditions) use. I'll hang on as long as possible before joining back on here to watch its replacement ship.

Me also, desperate to hear some sort of news :D

Yeah I was pretty calm the first week after ordering. However, we're now up to 10 days and it seems most people have them ship early.

I read someone ordered on the 22nd and they had it ship already, so I hope we're on the ship list soon! I really want to get the beast to see how it runs!

No more activity in terms of shipping over this weekend for anyone? My order is still stuck on "not shipped," too. I'm getting a bit too anxious I suppose, though it has been 11 days since I ordered.

It seems as though the shipping times might be increasing. Perhaps all the replacement machines being requested and maybe Apple finally sent some to third parties.

We shall see if anything changes this week.

Week 52 i7, replacement for a Week 48.

Yellow tinge at bottom, going back for replacement (again).

Serious?

this is really getting out of hand. I'm sure the third return will not be much better. you would be better off getting a refund than play this game with Apple.

how can Apple replace a defective machine with another defective machine?

The more I read these, the less inclined I am to wait this sreen issue out. It may be time for another PC, unfortuantely.

How many times does it taketo get a screen that works?

It seems that every repalcement still has the same issues. It wouldnt surprise me if Apple is just rerouting the returns back out. Really really disappiointed with Apple.

My i7 was ordered by apple on the 30th of december and hit "ready for shipment" 24 hours later. It's been sitting at that status since thursday.

I'm still waiting for tracking info on my i7 iMac! It was shipped on the 24th of December! Apple really are taking the **** with their UK delivery system. If it doesn't show tomorrow I think I'll be on the phone with them. I can't believe it's taken so long when US customers get theirs within days!

On a side note, if mine has any of the screen problems reported by other users, I'm not even going to bother getting a replacement. I'll be getting a full refund me thinks.

Also maide my order on that day, but it does not show "ready for shipment".

It only show's that it didn't as been shipped, and that "Items will be shipped when all are available." the only change i made was the keyboard, from wireless to wired with num pad. Further more it show's that the expedition is scheduled for 14th Jan. I'm from Europe, is that the reason for the long waiting?

I'm in the same boat, shipped on 24th and still no tracking info. Just says 'Merge in transit' at the moment, and estimated delivery date is 8th Jan.

Can't believe that it takes 15 days from dispatch in Shanghai to delivery in London, even taking into account Christmas, when the same items seem to take 3-4 days in the US.

Just checked the status before I went to work, shipped =). It will be here on wednesday!

Exactly! What's even worse about the whole thing is, if it is faulty, does that mean another 2 week wait for a new one? Like I said, I'm just going to get a refund if it is. Shipping times to the UK are ridiculous.
