My iMac shipped yesterday.

I was just told it will arrive within...

Wait for it.

12 GOD DAMNED DAYS!

How the hell can it possibly take that long to get here? Why is it that it takes 2 days for someone in the US, but someone in Canada, who is actually uh, you know, the same distance or CLOSER to China 12 DAYS? Jesus Christ, that's completely unacceptable!

I ordered the i7 through an Apple Authorized Dealer [they just order it like you would for yourself, but you don't have to pay for the machine until it arrives, I'm 16 and don't have a credit card so I figured calling 2.5 weeks before I get my paycheque would mean I didn't have to wait forever afterwards] and I assumed that they might even get priority since they're a retailer, but apparently not!

I'm seriously pissed off that it can take 4 weeks for a computer to ship. A month. A month!!

Next time I'm thinking I won't be ordering a built to order model.

Was ordered on Dec 22 shipped on Dec 31 and arrived on Jan 4th!!

So far it is perfect!!

Week 53

Mine was ordered on the 22nd as well, shipped on the 4, delivered today (man these things ship quickly....3 days from China...are you kidding me?!?!)

So far the screen is absolutely perfect! 0 yellow and 0 flickering (so far of course)

Also a week 53 unit.

What shipping type did you request?

My 24" iMac just kicked the bucket. After several repairs Apple support decided to replace it with the new 3.06Ghz 27". I asked if I could pay the difference for the Core i5 and the cheerfully said yes. They are paying to ship back my iMac. Just have to wait like everyone else. This is exciting. Apple's customer service is top notch. :)

My week 53, i7 2T arrives tomorrow (Thursday). I still have the week 50 unit here so I will be able to do a close side-by-side comparison of the two.

I know it says they are shipping in 2 weeks, but are they leaving any earlier?

Mine shipped a week after my order, so at least some are being fulfilled early. I wouldn't necessarily count on getting it early, though. Better if you expect it to ship when Apple says it will and then be pleasantly surprised if it comes early.

Amazon Alert!!

If you want a 27-inch i5, they are in stock as I type this.

http://www.amazon.com/Apple-iMac-MB...ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=pc&qid=1262830431&sr=1-1

Too bad my i7 is already coming from Apple tomorrow. Not sure if i7 is better than Amazon customer service or not.

Not such good news in the UK from Amazon. The i5 is listed as "normally ships in 1 to 3 months"

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-iMac-...6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1263116584&sr=8-6

So you could be waiting until April.

I'm a little late to the party. I ordered a 27" i7 the other day, due to ship on the 20th. Pretty excited. Good to hear machines arriving in good working condition. You always hear of more trouble than good in forums, so keep the good news coming!

I am still waiting for mine to ship from MacConnection. They say I SHOULD get mine with the next shipment they receive (supposedly on the 15th). So I ordered it on 12/21, and I will hopefully have it on 1/21. And to the kid who is pissed thinking that an Authorized retailer would get priority, no Apple direct customers get priority. Those are the orders that apple makes the most off of (Because they get all the profit, and don't have to pay a commission to the authorized retailer).

Wow.

Exec Relations ordered my replacement on Tuesday. Arrived today, in the UK. Blazing fast shipping! Week 02 machine, but unfortunately it has a yellow tinge at the bottom.

*sigh*

Third replacement or refund here we come.

I wonder why it still takes two weeks

I ordered my replacement on the 4th of Jan and it still shows no movement.

The estimated delivery time is Jan 20th. That is ridiculous.

If they take that freaking long to build a machine they should at least build it without the yellow screens.

Yeah, I agree. Also I ordered mine on December 30th and estimated delivery is January 19th, how does a 2 week ship time equal almost 3 weeks? I know New Years was in there but that's one day. Oh well.

Me too . Ordered the same days as you, Jan 4. Estimated shipped Jan 20 and delivered Jan 25. I returned my 21.5 due to the yellow issue and decided to upgrade to 27 i7 model. Because of the fact, they told me I need to wait 2 weeks. But If I need the same model, 21.5 for your replacement, you will get it within 3 days, Jan 7. Of course, I chose the two-weeks-waiting option and it's killing me now.

I have an i7 from Apple, returned due to yellow.

i5 from Amazon, returning due to yellow.

Another i5 from Amazon, they are sending me 2 day air, replacement.

If that one is bad, I'm going to get a refund from Amazon instead of trying again.
