Guys, my original order has been delayed 2 weeks too:

I called customer support here in Spain but they only work 18:00 so i mailed my sales agent (the one who makes loan of my order) asking him for a compensation or something for the delay. Next email i'll request one iPad too :p

I am getting reallyyyy angry with apple now ...

My i7 / 8gb iMac was ordered Dec 30th
original ship date jan 14th
got an email on ship date it will be delayed by 7 business days
that has come and gone and still didn't ship

today i get an email it was delayed again saying it will ship by Feb 11th

this is crazy that i have to wait this long for the unit to arrive

maybe this problem apple is having is A LOT bigger then they wanna admit

I had mine delayed again also. I really hated doing it but I asked for a refund. Now, I just don't know what to do. That was a replacement for a second faulty iMac and was my only computer. When this all began, I borrowed an ancient dinosaur of a computer from a friend. I hope he won't mind me keeping it longer, until I decide what to do. I'll probably wait for these issues to be sorted or for the iMac's next revision.

I had ordered a 27" i7 from the UK Higher Education store. I ordered it on the 16/1 with an est ship date of 08/2 and hearing what people have been saying on here I was expecting it to be delayed further than that. However, I have just received an email stating that my iMac has shipped!

This doesn't seem to make sense to me (or be fair to those that have already been waiting a whole month), maybe the ed store has a quota of stock it has to ship a month, or they are given higher priority? I guess I'll never know, I just hope it's not faulty when it arrives.

Wow, Lucky you.

Anyway, this is my first Mac and i had another vision of Apple as a company... one better than the one i have now...

At this point it looks like the UK is not affected by the delay as much as the rest of the world. I ordered the Edu too but it will take more than 6 weeks (2 delay emails).

I agree. ? Maybe it will be pushed again. I'm tempted to just cancel and reorder in March when the Imacs get upgraded again, probably won't though. I share your frustration.

I thought the iMacs just got upgraded back in sep/oct?

I don't think so, I believe that the issue has been resolved and that things will improve very soon.

I ordered mine at an Ed store on the 22/1. Finger crossed, I have much work to do and would really enjoy having it right NOW. ;)

I still have not received a delay notice. :)

I ordered mine (i7/8GB/ITB) on the 19th of January. It is supposed to ship on Feb/ 2.

If my order is delayed, when do you think I will be notified?

This is my first ever Mac - VERY disappointed with the way Apple has treated this situation. I can understand having production issues, and wanting to ship non-defective units, but they really need to step up to the plate and tell us what is going on.

I just checked my order status online and it now says 'Prepared for Shipment'. This is really odd considering the delay e-mail I got earlier today. For those of you that have been down this road, is there light at the end of the tunnel (it really is being prepared for shipment), an error, or just a clever way to gray out the 'cancel item' button?

Following up my previous post ( https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/9154389/ ), I can now see that my iMac (not arrived yet) is a week 04 build, so it'll be interesting to see if this is going to be a fault-free machine. I found this out via the serial number on the 'AppleCare Protection Plan Certificate' that I just received by e-mail.

I noticed a few mentions of other people who, like me, ordered around 30th dec 2009 but have still not had their orders shipped yet - my advice is simply call customer support and ask for your order to be put on 'priority' - I did this, and my order was then shipped the following day despite the two delay e-mails. Also make sure to point out how unhappy you really are and you are likely to be offered a free gift / compensation as I was (need to ring up when it eventually arrives to claim).

I got an email saying my order had been delayed 7 business days, but it ended up being shipped a little earlier than that and I finally received it this week. ( it is a week 3 and was ordered on 28/12/09, so it was exactly 28 days ). I hope yours arrives soon :)

After I emailed to complain about the 3-4 week delay, the very next email I got was my shipping information. I'm not saying it is correlated, but it is a nice surprise.

No further delay, but a change when viewing the order details:

Shipment method changed from Express delivery to: "Merge In Tnst CZ Pra".
According to some posts on german boards, this is a "sign" :D (hopefully) that it has been shipped already. Maybe status will change tomorrow... *please*

//Probably its just on the way from anywhere to Prag in CZ

Just got my applecare email too, mine is a week 5 build, I really hope they have sorted out the problems.

Mine changed to "Prepared for shipment" but it still show Ship : Feb. 16th Deliverery : Feb. 23rd. I hope it's not a glitch and that it is really shipping soon !!! :D

Hey guys,

I placed an order at my local authorized reseller on the 18th of January and was told that it should ship in three weeks. I ordered the 27' Quad-Core iMac i7 with no extra add-ons except for the i7 option. Will the computer ship in three weeks or will I need to wait longer? I sent an email to the reseller before ordering and they said it could take up to 8 weeks to come in from Singapore. I am in New Zealand btw. Are there any Aussies or kiwis here who have also ordered an iMac i7 and have already received their computers? Cheers!
