Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

by my calculations, if they're right lol, they left korea at 11h13.

the trip to germany as a duration of 10h30,

so when the plain get's to germany it will be 21h43 in korea,

that will make something like 14pm in germany and minus one hour for us...

so, in the end, i hope freakin so!!!!

PS: i've rounded the numbers a bit :rolleyes:

PS2: the time difference is 8h
 
I had a similar experience.
ord 6th
ship 20th
del 28th

got email about delay but didnt give me a date so i rang (3 times in total) The first 2 calls said its wasnt delayed and would be shipped on 28th but the 3rd call said that it was delayed and the expected date of 3rd was given. The item was shipped and the expected delivery is today! Checked the tracking and its confusing but it says that it is due to arrive on the expected date which changed on the apple sitye so I hope to see it today.

BTW, we only get the invoice on the order status, when the credit card id charged, right?

i've seen someone whos also credit card hadn't been charged, but the iMac had already been sent.

HEY!!! maybe it's a gift from apple, for all this waiting....and will not charge nothing :D ahaha...i know, just dreaming

You can check the invoice on the apple delivery status page. its on the top right (print invoice) Mine is a week 4 unit.
Not sure about charging the credit card. I can check online and it hasnt been charged so far.
 
Got second delay email yesterday, and a phone call from Apple. It shipped late last night. Odd behavior, but I'm glad it shipped. Hoping it is a good one, else I give up. Sounds like whatever was delaying them has been resolved, and hopefully they are getting back on track.

Order Dec.30 -- mine will be a week 5 iMac.

Ok now i've seen it. Wierd, it's not on the apple delivery status page, but in my case it's on the email itself that i recieved saying the iMac was sent.

My iMac has shipped and I have got my AppleCare certificate via email, my card is yet to be charged.
 
Yes! Mine has shipped!

Original Expected Ship Date: 1/21
Delayed Email Ship Date: 2/16
Actual Ship Date: 1/29

Not too bad -- just over a week later than the original date.
 
i7 was shipped

Yesterday i received an email telling me that my i7 was shipped and should arrive at my house on the 3rd of february.

What i don't understand though is why it is taking 6 days to deliver when i payed for a 2-3 express delivery!!?

Is apple trying to rip me off on delivery fees even after it postponed my shipment for more than 3 weeks? :confused:

Think of what it might have been had you not had express delivery. :D Seriously though you should get a refund for that express shipment.

I will definetly call apple as soon as i get done with this autoCad class :D I think i may ask them for another item of the same price instead than just a refund ;)

Log into your order status and click "view order details" Mine is in the blue heading bar.
When you click that you open up your details and on the right hand side of your order no. etc there should be 3 sections, 'cancel items', 'return items' and 'print invoice' If you click 'print invoice' it will open that and under your order details is your imac decription and under that is 'serial number' with the number below.

Well thats how mine is.
 
Mine shipped today, wow what a surprise. I was supposed to get it on the 19th , But looks like it will be here on the 3rd.

It looks like it's a week5.

Oh yeah that's where I was I just didn't realize it was the serial number I was looking for. So is it the first two characters that tells me?

the first 2 are were its is made (W8) = Shanghai
The 3rd is the year (0) = 2010
And the 4th & 5th are the week (04) = week 4.

On the look out for this UPS truck, would be brilliant to have it for the weekend. Might give them a call to see if it is near!
