Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

Today my order status changed from 'Not Shipped' to 'Prepared for shipment' :)

I hope that means that I will not receive a 'shipment delayed' email on Feb. 3.

So, the date of delivery of my order was changed, as well as the Milty77 has been, I think lolol. in the UPS site it says that the delivery day will be 01.02.2010 (Like Milty77 said, after he ranged UPS)

So i guess that we'll get our best Monday ever, never wished so much for the weekend to be over :D:D

BTW guys, i think that perhaps is for the best, starting monday, create a new thread for the ones which will be recieving their machines, and for what i've seen it's gonna be a few of them :D
 
Does anybody know if the delvery date of 2nd Feb is for the entire world or only for a few countries? I was told that America, England and some people who have ordered online will receive their machines first. This may be incorrect though.

If anyone here knows the approximate delvery date for the i7 in New Zealand that would be greatly appreciated.:)
 
Finally it's in Germany now :D

damn, if they have send it one day earlier at this time i would be writing this in the new iMac, now it's two days waiting for monday to be delivered
 
My i7 shipped. I'm getting on Feb 3. My fingers are crossed that I get a good one!

And in celebration, I made myself a new graphical package tracker in Quartz Composer! It updates every hour:

I just was stating the fact that IF they've send it one day earlier, now, it wouldn't have caught the weekend, and that means more waiting. The original delivery date given was 30.01.2010.
 
I'm in the same boat as a lot of you here on my replacement i7. On the 26th I received an email saying it would be a further 2-3 weeks but today have received a tracking number for delivery this monday.

I called apple on the 26th to explain my unhappiness and dissapointment at the repeated delays and was told they were making changes to their production line and they will be shipping as soon as they possibly can. After discussing it they agreed to the possibility of either a complimentary RAM upgrade or some other gesture after I have recieved the imac. The follow up email was as follows:

"Apple regrets that your iMac has been further delayed and we would
like the opportunity to discuss a token gesture of apology once you
received your replacement order. Please contact me with questions or concerns and once you receive your delivery."

Like others in this thread I'll report back on monday on the state of the replacement i7. Fingers crossed this will be the one and Apple have sorted their production issues.
 
I7 order Dec.30,shipment to Sweden.

Hello everyone! I have ordered a customised i7 (8 GB RAM)
Dec 30, and Swedish Apple Store placed my order in China around January 5th.
Still no IMAC,:mad: according to App.Store it has reached Netherlands
on Tuesday Jan 20th,last week,thus and till now order status has been marked as- Ready For Shipment.
Naturally nothing has been shipped last week.
Official App.Store explanation- Change Of item shipping priority.
They've sent me a bloody remote control instead.:mad:
I'm also to get my I7 next week,according to Apple. Will report on screen quality as soon as i get it.

Can someone please tell me what weeky IMAC has been assembled??

After stating my iMac was delayed for a further 3 weeks and wouldn't ship until late February, I got an email yesterday saying it had shipped and would be here on Monday the 1st :D

I checked the serial number and it looks like I'm getting a Week 05 model :)

Just hoping the screen is ok, especially after reading about Apple clamping down on replacements.
 
I ordered mine and though I wasn't delayed in my shipping, I am having mine shipped early. Was supposed to ship on the 2nd and arrive on the 4th but it now coming on the 2nd... too bad I'll still be in Shanghai, ironically where my iMac is leaving from. We'll miss each other in passing...

i7 with standard RAM.

Nice! You can also go to simpletracking.com, it sometimes has more details than Fedex.

Looking forward to hear about the iMacs when you get them.
I just ordered my first Mac yesterday. i7 with 8gb of ram and the 27" version. Crossing my fingers :) I shuld get it around 25 february, so guess it will be a newer version :)

It looks like the earliest that someone will get their new imac from the boards is monday.
 
Shipped today

Initial order 19/1/10 UK HE store standard i5

estimated shipping 2/2/10 delivery 4/2/10

Got the e-mail saying dispatched today 30/1/10 delivery 4/2/10

Week 5 (got serial off applecare e-mail)

Looks like a whole batch of weeks 5's have gone out, fingers crossed!
 
Sorry for nosing in. I just purchase my new Mac (and admit I'm a newbie) and I was just browsing the forums here just looking for tips and to gain general knowledge.

Anyway, I just purchased my 27" iMac (i5 Quad) at MacMall.com , it took 2 days to receive. Mine was built in January , so they are recent builds.

Just an FYI

So, I would recommend at least going there and checking them out. I'm sure they've been talked about over 244 pages and I'm sure people have had trouble with them, just like any place I suppose.
 
My i7 is still scheduled to be delivered Feb 2, 10:30 A.M., but FedEx shows it still being "in transit SHANGHAI CN". Damn, no progress over 3 days now. But at least today I see they charged my AmEx for the iMac (charged yesterday, showed up online today). Also big warning on FedEx site that due to "severe winter conditions at the Memphis hub, there may be service disruption in the U.S.".
