I think the problem is that my invoice ticket is sent in a different package (not in the same as the iMac) and arrives separaetly (they told me 5-7days). And that would be the reason i can't check it online.

BTW i used apple loan as payment method.
 
Mac noobie here;

Just placed an order for iMac on Jan. 30, 2010 ~1:00PM PST.
Ships: Feb 23
Delivers: Feb 27

Hopefully it comes sooner than the projected date :rolleyes:

Had a talk with Applecare today, told me the problems haven't been solved. But I hope he was wrong and all your machines are fine. I'm returning my third defect tomorrow.

I ordered mine 5 days sooner through my Ed store in my University. Would be interesting to see who get's it first :)
 
My i7 is inching ever closer to me! FedEx tracking: "Jan 30, 2010 7:22 PM Departed FedEx location ANCHORAGE, AK".

I am a slave to the tracking for now, until it gets here.

...then send it back due to yellow fever :(

Mine is on it's way to the Memphis hub as well. It is scheduled for a Tuesday delivery, but it may very likely be Monday morning. I have had early FedEx deliveries before. When my first iMac shipped, it left Anchorage at around 4:00PM, landed and flew out of Memphis around 12:30AM, and it was at my door step by 10:00AM. They are probably sitting in Memphis right now, waiting for check in and ready for Monday morning deliveries.

I would keep an eye on your tracking Monday morning.

Err, you may want to look at FedEx site. Here's a quote:

"Severe winter weather conditions at Memphis hub may cause some service delays and disruptions within the U.S. today."

There may be knock-on effects, which domino delays through the system for a couple of days. Prepare for Monday, OK, but be ready to have it come Tuesday - or even - gasp! - be late and arrive Wednesday... just sayin'.

How much discount did you get? I ordered mine through online educational store. Let's see which week we will end up getting. I have my fingers crossed for all you week fives.

I think the discount is 100$ for the computer and 100$ for Apple care (Canadian $).

The Montreal Micro-Boutique is the only store I could find where I could pay over 3 years, a minimum of about 90$ per month for a can2800$ computer, only 8% interest (student special). I'll pay it within 6 months, but it's nice to be able to pay at my own rhythm.

Apple doesn't have the monthly payment in Canada so I had no choice.

Hey, I got 200$ I think (100 on computer and 100 on Apple care) = ~10% before taxes.

I really didn't care because it's the only place where I could get a 3 years payment plan with only 8% interest (student special).

If it has a bit of yellow I'll still wait until there is plenty in store before returning it.
 
Mine is going to be at least a week late and most likely even longer:eek:

My desk top died and all i have now is my work computer and a very old macbook, man it's slow.

I hope that as long as the wait I have had there will be no issues, fingers crossed. I'm going to ask for a memory upgrade if it doesn't come this week:mad:
 
do UPS move things on the weekends? It says im due to get the i5 tomorrow but the ups tracker says its still in shanghai and im in the uk.
 
Is there a certain configuration that takes longer to ship? I ordered my imac i7 (everything else stock) on Jan. 20th. It says it will ship on Feb. 3rd. What configurations are you guys ordering that take so long to ship?

I don't know but i orderer an standard i7 with 4GB (The only custom config was selecting i7 upgrade from i5 in the store)

I ordered Jan 7th and first shipping was scheduled for Jan 28th arriving Feb 5th. On the 28th i got delay email notification and reescheduled date to 11th Feb for shipping and 19th Feb arriving, but yesterday (Jan 30th) i got email notification that my iMac shipped and expected arriving date is Feb 2nd.

I did see that, but that was referring to Saturday delivery. No mention of anything after. Sure, it could "domino" delays as you said, but if the flight out of Memphis isn't delayed (which would be Monday morning, 2 days after their delay warning) you could see it Monday morn...I kind of doubt they would have multiple day flight delays, unless it's one serious storm, and in Tenessee, that is unlikely.

We will see tomorrow, I was just saying, watch for it...Don't go off in the morning and be surprised and disappointed that you missed a delivery attept. you may be surprised. I only say this because of where the tracking indicates in comparison to my last iMac that I recieved vis FedEx a month or so ago.
