This has been discussed at lengths before. He never shows the specs on the box. And the screen specs can be easily changed. It is not legit.
Actually they do ship you the paperwork and the diagnostic CD with the Applecare.
1. he modified the display of the CPU information etc.
2. he has connected up an i5 PC to the new C2D iMac!
nothing special
Since early last week, my order status online for Applecare is listed as "complete." A few days ago, I phoned Apple to tell them I had not received Applecare. I was told that it didn't ship because it is paired to the computer when you order online or by phone. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure what that means. Does anyone have an answer?
once again, i dont think he would go through all that just to earn cool points. the guy has so much **** in his house that i doubt he would even bother with a C2D. Nonetheless, i hope u are right, i would be PISSED off to know that apple thought he was better than us or some other **** on the same premise.

If he's faking, why not fake an i7 with 16 GB RAM? Or at least 8 GB.
Chikino,
I like your thinking.
Welcome aboard.[/QUOTE
Thanx a lot...!

Since when does having $$ and a lot of other Apple computers= him having an i5? Those are not mutually inclusive. Would be real simple for him to add a short clip showing the box label and the specs. Ever wonder why he hasn't done that when many other unpackings do this?
oh come on - look at all the attention we are giving apple at the moment (be it good or bad). this guy just wants to sound heaps awsome and show off his i5, fake or not.
Chickino,
Well, actually I replied to post #575
where you stated you thought the iMacs were
rushed out in an attempt to counteract Windows 7
and that Apple was not ready to handle the availability
of the i5 and i7 computers nor the problems
with their first wave of iMacs.
Brilliant analogy. Think you are right.
Yes i really think they rushed into this hopefully without the expense of disappointed customers....!
But when decision like these are taken....frustration is inevitable....
So i wouldn't be so keen in waiting cause problematic imacs is just around the corner....!
so, you think apple just went "oh, quad core CPUs are out now we better slap one into the iMac now!?". ??
of course they didnt do that, have you seen the ifixit disassembly of the new C2D imacs? the heatsyncs are now a lot bigger then before, there are extra fans, the speakers are bigger, the GPU & CPU heatsyncs are separated, and the airport has been moved to allot alot better signal.
this upgrade isnt some "slap" job, they have been planning it for a while.
they cannot help that there is a lack of CPUs, that isnt their fault - they have brought out the machines to shut people up because of the lack of quad core/upgrades. except everybody now goes the other way and says "hurry up we want it YOU SUCK".
be patient. as far as im concerned there are no issues with the quad core imac what-so-ever yet, because NOBODY has one!
Soooo WATCH THIS VIDEO:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsmeq6aslTY
While your watching, keep an eye out when he shows his iMac's specs near the end, he HAS the i5 QUAD CORE. What i want to know is, how the hell he got it so early? look at the date the video was posted! WTF?

Someone has to have an explanation?

Much more than likely that info is fake. Notice that he didn't show the details on the box, or anywhere else, just that one place, and it so happens to be the easiest place to change info about your computer. I'm not at expert, but it was explained earlier in this thread.
Actually i agree with u at some point...... i think that they have given a lot of thought on the design and the parts that they are going to use..
But they rushed at the production part.....thus they took the decision to advertise them a little bit earlier. And they are not prepared for a production of that scale...! (that is just my opinion)
i agree with your point too - production was rushed. they have done it before though. personally i dont really see what all the fuss is about, companies do it all the time. e.g. win7! win8 is already starting to be talked about etc etc.
its just silly that everybody is getting so worked up. when it comes it will come.
as for that video: i have no clue if it is real or not, there is no way to tell with the little evidence we have.
Yes you are right but also they cannot say that are going to be shipped in November and receive them a month later and at the mean time reading and watching about problematic iMacs. It is a iMac not a car.![]()
care to explain? what problems? all i see is a flash issue which is easily fixed.reading and watching about problematic iMacs.
they said ships november, its not the end of november yet so there is nothing for us to be angry about.

There are also some trembling displays.....! and some hard disk noises...!
