woke up this morning to see prepared for shipment, call credit card ,, full amount has been charged, called apple, delivery on the 12th
coming from shanghai

I guess Apple are fulfilling orders from the States first. I've yet to find someone from Europe yet to receive their shipment notice.

The fact that it "could" be fake does not make it so. While likely that he did modify the "About This Mac" screen, there is no conslusive evidence to say he did not manage to aquire an i5 early.

In this world, it is fake until proven otherwise. With the security measures that Apple puts in place, the odds of this guy getting one on 10/23 is impossible. Thanks.

That's fine for me - I'm based in Japan, which means it might come even after Europe despite being 'only' a few thousand miles away lol

When I called I just asked if he would upgrade me to priority shipping. He did so. I did it last time I ordered in April. I am almost suspecting they will ship all of them with priority shipping, but it never hurts to make sure.

i had priority also , but they r comin from china so /3/4 days but i guess its better then 5/6 days

Not really. I remember my first one 3 years ago. It came from China and was here (east Coast US) on day 2. You can actually track the flight which is pretty neat. Goes to Alaska and then down to the lower 48.

Hi, well my CC has been fully charged on Friday last week but the status is still November and no emails confirming shipping either. I ordered the i7 so probably next week then...

I expect the keyboard change had no more effect on delaying your order than the i7 did. Ordering the i7 makes your order custom and it appears that those currently shipping are "base" i5 systems.

I waiting with you, as is everyone else, for the i7 systems. (ordered mine on the 21st).

my order status still ships November cc has not been touched i ordered my i7 on 21 10

Ordered i7 2tb hdd 8gb ram on 10/20, my card has a huge authorization charge on it, but it hasn't been "fully" taken out of the account (my account balance does not show the money for the iMac taken out).

Looks like they're shipping all of the stock i5s out first.

i7s and any i5s with BTO options will be shipped after all the i5s go out, I'm guessing.

Good question!

I question the concept that a base i7 is in the BTO category. Surely they had to configure a boatload of the base i7. I just wonder technically speaking why the i7's must wait a week beyond the i5 ship date.

I missed a FedEx delivery today by a few minutes, have no idea what it is. I ordered the i5 on October 26th but my order status still says November. Does Apple ship FedEx for expedited shipping? CC has not been charged other than the $257.11 on October 26th which I assume is Applecare. BTW, does AppleCare start when they charged me for it or for when I get the machine?

I kind of doubt that this is my iMac, now that I think about it, it might be my RoadID bracelet ;-(
