Also, could I run COD World At War on it? The box says it needs a 3.0GHz processor or higher to run.
The i5 overclocks itself (turboburst) to 3.2GHz when using a single processor, slightly less using 2 then 3 etc.
It should work, gamers would have a better answer for you.

I would get money back, the total for the 3.33GHz I just priced out was $2,935. The i5 with the same options was $2,885. I will be calling as soon as I get home.

I'd call as soon as you can, they could "prepare to ship" then you might get screwed with having to deal with a return.

Of course you have to replace the 2x2GB 1066 before you put 1333 in
I'm not sure you do actually, the 1333Mhz sticks should run at the 1066Mhz rate.

Hmmm. My BTO i7 iMac (i7/4GB/1TB) now shows "Prepared for Shipment" on the order status page, but it also still says "Ships: November." FWIW, I ordered on 10/20 at 5 pm PST and received my Apple Remote that I ordered at the same time last week.

i'm getting a 'prepared for shipment' on my order status online now for my bto i7 ordered on 10/22. so close but so far away.
For what it is worth....I ordered mine through business sales not personal.

My Core i7 8GB still shows "Not shipped yet" in France. But that must be because I only ordered 5 days ago, on the 5th.
It's cool that they start shipping now, I was expecting them to ship later.

This waiting game really sucks. I don't understand how some people in Canada who ordered after I did are getting prepared for shipment and mine still says "November". The money has been taken from my credit card 4 days ago and still nothing. What gives? Send it already. Apple waiting experience on new systems is the worst experience I have ever had in purchasing a new computer. This i7 better last me a long time.

On the UK site the cancel button is greyed out & on the US site it says 'Prepared for Shipment'=my 1st change since ordering (other than the 'cancelled' everyone in UK seems to have had).
Hope your order has changed as well-any news?

I hope I can pick up my i5 from a retail store this Friday. I'm going to stop by Thursday afternoon and Friday morning to see if they are in yet - haha

I want to fasten up my RAM, and not to run 1333 at 1066MHz
