My order is now "Prepared for shipment"

I ordered on the 27th Oct.

i7, 27", 2.8Ghz, 2tb H/D, 8gb ram

I live in South West Western Australia.

Status for i7 w/ 2TB hard drive just changed from Not Shipped to Prepared for Shipment today, from Baltimore, MD and ordered on 10/25 :)

Anybody in Europe (not UK), with an i7 order, who has anything else than "November" and "Not yet shipped" on their order?

I ordered on the 20th, 10 min. after the Store came online, and still nothing!?

Yep! Ordered the iMac i7 Stock on 24 October on the Swiss Apple Store.

And on the US Apple Store Status I have : Prepared for Shipment and the button Cancelled is not anymore available.
On the Swiss Apple Store I have the Not Yet Shipped status but the Cancel button has also gone unavailable!
I hope that it'll be shipped today or tomorrow...

Seems like it takes one or two days before it changes from Prepared to Shipment to Shipped... Am I right? (Or just wishing... :p)

I just received my shipment notification this morning.
27/i7/1T.. i think pretty standard except the i7

order placed through education store on 10/27
delivery to Richmond, VA on Monday

My order

I ordered an i5 with the only change being the 2TB disk. I ordered from a UK reseller that was offering a £100 discount if you took in an old machine. I was glad to take in a very broken 6 year old Samsung laptop. I ordered on the 7th November.

I rang the reseller today and they just looked at the Apple website and said "probably the end of November for you". They don't have an online system where you can check order status.

Oh well. I will share the excitement of those who get their's earlier.

Some minor change to my order status page.

Originally, I had ordered the i7, along with COD4 and Quake 4. The iMac had been first in the list, followed by the others. Now the iMac is at the bottom of the list, but still showing "Not Yet Shipped".

What could this mean? Maybe I'm just becoming paranoid...

Location: Ireland
Order Date: November 5th

Just a note to anyone stressing about Credit Card Pre- Authorisations and such like - different banks / Card companies have different policies on how long they remain "live" on your account. For example, my particular card provider only allows pre-authorisations to remain "live" for 48 hours, after that time if the retailer doesn't convert the pre-authorisation into a full payment it just drops off the account and they have no record of it. Just thought this info may be helpful to some.

It has shipped finally! Yay!

My details is i7 4GB RAM and 1TB with wireless both ordered on Oct 20th at 11PM EST. My buddy from Florida which ordered the same exact thing but 1 week later has also shipped this morning.

This is new...

If you go to the US Apple site, the 27" C2D is listed as "7-10 vusiness days". If you change any option, it used to stay at 7-10 business days but now says 2 weeks. 2 weeks is, of course, 10 business days.

The UK site doesn't do this, it sticks to "7-10 business days" regardless of the config.

Does this help? And is it relevant to us quad core devotees? No, not really, other than to suggest that the US Apple website is updated more regularly than the UK one!

Shipping Exception

Just checked Fed Ex and i7 "Missed the FedEx cut off' at the airport and receipt now scheduled for 11/16/09 instead of 11/13/09. This is pretty common with shipments from Apple's China connection. So I have the weekend to clean off the desk and get things organized.

If that was me, I'd have the weekend to buy a new desk after I smashed the old one up after being told that I'd lost a weekend to play with my new toy.

One more tracking no. received

i7/16GB/2TB going to California, ordered 10/27.

Oddly, the remote is still listed as Prepared for Shipment with shipping and delivery both 11/25.

I was looking at the Mac Pro and I changed the standard mice to the magic mouse, so it changed from 24h delivery to 3-4 weeks !!!

Maybe the magic mouse is the cause of the all delays ?

Anybody knows if the Mac Pro CPU can be self-upgraded later on ?

Shipped!

To Midwest, US
Ordered 10/20 from education store:
i7 / 1TB / 8 GB / numeric keyboard

Apple email says estimated delivery on 11/16; FedEx tracking says 11/13. I paid for 2-day shipping when ordered. The email came in about 8 hours ago; about 12 hours after my order was ‘PTS’ on Apple Store.

Official Release Dates

Ok, so we all know most peoples pre-orders are either prepared for shipment or have shipped, but is their any news as to when these quad core iMacs will officially be given shipping dates?

Tracking...

My i5 has gone from Shanghai, to Anchorage, to Fort Worth, and is currently in Oakland CA. I assume today it will make the trip down south and should go out for delivery tomorrow.

Really doubt it will be soon. They wont advertise shipping dates until all preorders have been designated and delivered. By the massive popularity of the i7 machine in particular i cant imagine it will be soon.

Only once they can satisfy a '1-2 Days' shipping advisory will they put it online.

But, im assuming here, common sense business practices 101.

Am i the only one from Africa here?

sigh... well i will just have to wait and keep myself busy with reading these forums, and view unboxings and review, while you guys in NA, Europe and the rest of the world enjoy the new i5 iMac. I just heard from a supplier, mine will be here 1st week to mid of december.
