See I told you if you ordered yours through the store, it would arrive before mine. This is now so far beyond a f**King joke, that I am about to tell Apple to jam it up their a**s. Is my money not good enough for Apple?

hmmm. why dont you cancel your order and start again? cant be any worse then the sh*t you have to put up with now.
You reckon if we get to December and the thing has not shipped, anyone will give a sh*t? Would be be entitled to compensation? They have basically ignored all my efforts to tell them that there seems to be an issue with my order, but no-one wants to listen.
I might cancel and just buy a fricken Dell, lets face it, it will make websites just as good as a fricken iMac
Im hoping mine does something this week, i shook my magic 8 ball this morning and it said "maybe". It was more promising than last weeks "not likely".
Im impressed how my shipping method says "Road".. technically i think its impossible to drive from Shanghai to Adelaide, unless the truck is driving onto a boat, or plane..
Also, if they know our orders are being shipped on the 24/25th why doesnt it say this in our status? Thats all i need, is some reassurance that *something* is happoning.
Only if your a lucky one who ordered after the 10th of November, if you ordered in October, your a second class citizen.

A few ppl reporting that their units are DOA in other threads.. but earlier builds, not sure if its still occuring, i hope not!
Nothing is happening, thats the reality of it. There must be a massive glitch in the Apple system, because they can see your order when you phone them up, but at the other end, where they actually put the fricken things in the boxes, we seem to be invisible.
What pisses me off is that every Apple rep I call just has faith in the system, and can't get their head around the fact that something might actually be wrong and need some attention.

i wouldnt buy dell because of their ***** quality and lack of customer service, but thats your own personal call.Yeah, well - I hope not too. But being an IT Guy and deploying many iMac's over the last year; learned one thing - there are less DOA iMac's than HP's.
Awesome. Hope it all goes well. This is my first adventure into macs since my really old IIe or whatever it was. Really looking forward to it. I bought COD4 on the weekend in anticipation of having somethig to play it on this weekend or next week..
Im in IT too, but mainly unix systems so i dont see many macs..

I want a Mac Mini to use as a media centre to connect to my TV in the lounge room. Been looking at Mini's on ebay, but the C2D ones always sell for nearly what I can buy a new one for, bloody crazy. Been looking for a cheap one. I will keep on the hunt.
aahh i see! i would love to get a mini or HTPC for the TV upstairs. but i have found a better/cheaper path
(run a 10m HDMI cable from the 2nd iMac in the house to the TV )
